Connor Byrne

I'm sure they'll at least make an effort. The Yankees drafted him way back when and tried to trade for him a couple years ago. And not that it really matters, but Cole was a Yankees fan as a kid.
Friedman
6:02
Will I let Kenley walk but re-sign Ryu?
Connor Byrne
6:03
Kenley Jansen can't walk unless he opts out of the remaining 2/38 on his contract, which looks iffy at best

6:03
Do you think the Braves can go deep into the postseason with the players we have now? I think bullpen is good but not sure about rotation.
Connor Byrne
6:03
Of course they can. They've gone 66-47 with this group.
Phillies Fan
6:04
Who will the Phillies make a run  at this offseason?
Connor Byrne
6:04
I can't give names off the top of my head, but they obviously need pitching.
Tatis
6:04
Why does missing a month mean anything if his WAR, and numbers other than some of the counting stats, HRs/RBIs specifically, are all better than Alonso (avg/obp/slg are all better)?  If anything, that should work in his favor.  He is better on a per game basis, and helps on defense and the base paths.
Connor Byrne
6:04
It's a fair point, but the voters may disagree.
Farhan Zaidi
6:05
How does the rest of baseball view my trade deadline approach?
Connor Byrne
6:05
I don't know, but the fact that Giants prez Farhan Zaidi got rid of Mark Melancon's money is mighty impressive
JD+Enderfan11
6:06
Do you think Josh Donaldson will be a Brave in 2020
Connor Byrne
6:06
No, I think he'll find a richer deal elsewhere. The Braves will be able to plug in Austin Riley at third, though his production has come crashing down since a hot start.
KA
6:06
Assuming MLB had one MVP like NBA. Whom would you choose among Trout, Bellinger and Yelich?
Connor Byrne
6:07
Trout
Help me!
6:07
I'm a Mariners fan, what is my hope?
Connor Byrne
6:07
You're going to have to wait a couple years. They're not aiming to contend until 2021-22
Cashmoney
6:07
Sales big extension starts in 2020 how worried r the Red Sox
Connor Byrne
6:08
I'd be somewhat worried in their shoes. Production's down (but still good, aside from the ERA), as is the velo.
Nathan
6:08
Is CC a HOFer? Does he get in?
Connor Byrne
6:08
He's a slam-dunk HOFer for me
JD+Enderfan11
6:09
Is Soroka a possible ROTY/Cy Young?
Connor Byrne
6:09
He'll at least get some ROY votes, but Alonso and Tatis overshadow him
CONNOR BYRNE
6:09
Will I be on during Saturday nights or Sunday mornings and afternoons? Or has my schedule changed for good?
Connor Byrne
6:10
Hello, me. I'm off weekends for good. My old shifts are in the very capable hands of Dylan Chase and Anthony Franco.
Erik
6:10
Surprised the Braves didn’t give Gaus a shot in the pen before giving him away?
Connor Byrne
6:11
Kind of. I was stunned to see he was waived.
Andrew Mulligan Green
6:11
How hot is my seat right now?
Connor Byrne
6:11
I don't think it should be hot. Did people expect the Padres to contend this year?
Soxhata
6:11
OK to get around the trade deadline could a team like the D backs DFA Robbie ray and the yankees DFA Clint Frazier and make a trade? Then the D backs get 2 minor leaguers in the fall for cash considerations
Connor Byrne
6:12
No, because neither would get to the Yankees nor D-backs on waivers
*or D-backs
JD+Enderfan11
6:12
Is Markakis gone after 2019 and will he get voted HOF when eligible?
Connor Byrne
6:13
1. Maybe. Markakis does have a reasonable club option ($6MM or $2MM buyout) 2. No.
Hugh Jurectshun
6:13
Why don't stat guru's think RBI's are important?
Connor Byrne
6:14
Because they're somewhat dependent on teammates.
Jon
6:14
Better nickname: Air Yordan OR Gingergaard?
Connor Byrne
6:14
Both very good, but I like Gingergaard
Irate Nate
6:15
Do reds go after puig this off season?
Connor Byrne
6:15
Maybe they'll at least check in. GM Nick Krall did say there was some interest in extending him. But I'm guessing they already touched base on that, and maybe Puig's price was too much for the Reds.
