With Markakis back, any chance we see Kopech's heater in 2020?
Connor Byrne
6:53
Doubt it. Just because Markakis opted back in, that doesn't mean others' concerns will vanish

How does the Cleveland Baseball Team keep coming up with such good starting pitching?  Clevinger, Bieber, Civale, Plesac in recent years.  I don't think any of them were top draft picks/prospects.
Connor Byrne
6:54
And Kluber, Carrasco, Bauer. They're an elite organization in that regard. It's no surprise Bieber is amazing, but Plesac suddenly looks elite out of nowhere.
6:55
It's two starts, so I don't want to get carried away, but he's a useful starter in a worst-case scenario. Solid rookie year in 2019.

Time to put Happ in the bullpen?
Connor Byrne
6:57
JA? He's off to a terrible start, but who would start in his place? Schmidt (not on the 40-man)? Garcia? As good as the Yanks are, it looks as if they'll have to do something about their rotation
by the deadline
Cliff
6:58
When do you think they bring up Lux?
Connor Byrne
6:58
I thought he'd be up by now, but the Dodgers aren't exactly hard up for help
George
6:59
It's a good thing that the Dodgers didn't trade Seager.
Connor Byrne
7:00
Another Dodgers question. It surprised me how down people were on Seager coming into the season. The vast majority of teams would've been happy to have him starting at SS before this year.
Buffalo
7:00
Thanks for the Sahlen Field upgrades.  Now, let's add seats.  We want MLB.
Connor Byrne
7:01
As a Buffalo guy, I'd absolutely love an MLB team. Probably never going to happen, though. We'll have to settle for the Blue Jays playing in front of no fans.
Michael King
7:02
Put JA in the pen.  I'm your man!
Connor Byrne
7:02
King's a candidate. Good prospect, but he looked terrible the one time I saw him pitch this season. Not that a one-game sample means much, obviously.
Angels fam
7:03
Angels haven’t had a great prospect in a minute.  Watching last nights game I really felt that Adells arrival sparked something.  It was fun to watch!
Connor Byrne
7:03
I hope so. I'm tired of Mike Trout not making the playoffs.
Mn twins
7:04
you think the Twins try and extend the ageless wonder on a one year deal or multiple years they love him and he seems to like playing in Minnesota????
Connor Byrne
7:05
Nelly Cruz? A 2-year deal seems like a best-case scenario for him because of his age. He's not slowing down, though, so it would behoove the Twins to keep him around. I believe the two sides at least touched base on an extension during the winter.
They like each other, so I think a deal will get done if Cruz doesn't crater before year's end
Brian MoneyBoy
7:06
why did I have to give Happ $17M?
Connor Byrne
7:07
Brian Cashman's a great GM, but that seemed like a bit much from the get-go. At least the Yankees don't have to worry about his deal vesting for 2021.
Robert
7:07
Do you think the Reds will target an arm to solidify their bullpen at the deadline?
Connor Byrne
7:07
Most contenders will, and I expect the Reds to be among them
Clever Name Here
7:08
Is Wade Davis’ injury real, or just convenient? Should they make Bard the closer since he seems to have found it again?
Connor Byrne
7:09
I'm sure it's real, but it's funny (not in a haha way) how little the Rox have gotten from all their big-money bullpen signings and how much they've gotten from a scrapheap pickup like Bard
It's only 5 2/3 innings, but he's been very good. Still throwing about 97.
Mn twins
7:10
Why do the twins fall so behind in coverage of the other elite teams... like the Yankees and dodgers???
Connor Byrne
7:11
The bigger the market, the more attention it gets.
Mr. bean
7:11
will Judge hit 30 home runs?
Connor Byrne
7:12
Even though he already has 7 in 10 games, I'm saying no. He'd still need a ridiculous pace over the final 50 to get there.

Your thoughts on the Richard Bleier trade?
Connor Byrne
7:14
Fine move by a Marlins trade desperately in need of bodies. That's assuming the player to be named later doesn't turn into anyone of consequence.

7:14
Does the starting pitcher still have to work 5 innings to qualify for the win if it is a 7 inning game (DH)?
Connor Byrne
7:15
Good question. I've never thought about it & don't have an answer, but you have piqued my curiosity

AL ROY: Robert, Adell or Lewis?

What kind of PTBNL do the Orioles get for Bleier?
