As a lawyer ... doesn't sound promising without any privity of contract or direct duty. Even if it happened to a MLB player or employee, they've bargained for working through the season, etc.

But seriously ... yes, teams should be preparing for and thinking about it already. That doesn't mean they have a clear answer yet. Nothing has resolved itself yet in the standings.

Also the more it looks like the season could be in trouble, the less likely it is teams will make pure-2020 moves. Wouldn't be too surprised if a fair number of clubs just say "eh let's just let 'er roll with what we have and see what happens.)

I get there's some concern with following another team into a clubhouse, but I don't really see why. Everything I've read says that surface cleaning is more or less irrelevant. This is all about droplets in the air.

I think so, yeah, in that they are in a big bunch of teams that can plausibly end up with a very good record.

On a pure talent basis, the NL tiers look to me mostly like this: 1) Dodgers 2) lots of teams 3) Giants, Pirates, Marlins
Maybe that's unfair to SFG, especially if I'm including the Rox in the #2 tier, but I lean that way since COL has some seriously high-ceiling younger MLB players.
