Connor Byrne
7:12
Nope. Just once several years back.
Mark
7:12
Would Mike Moustakas take a one year deal in Philly?
Connor Byrne
7:13
Moose should be able to get a multiyear pact.
Harper.
7:13
Can’t really be happy only because he got paid. It has to hopefully burn in him some his team missed and his former team advanced
Connor Byrne
7:13
Probably. I'm just saying that I don't think he's losing sleep over his decision.
Ninja Angel of Death
7:14
Cards or Braves ?
Connor Byrne
7:14
I'll take the Cardinals in an upset, as I picked them to go a long way entering the season.
Syndergaard
7:15
to the Astros for McCullers Jr, Forrest Whitley and Jake Marisnick. Is this reasonable?
Connor Byrne
7:15
Not really. McCullers is coming off TJ surgery, Whitley had a horrible year and Marisnick doesn't have much (if any) trade value.
DH
7:15
You're a traitor to the sport if you support enforcing the DH in the NL.
Connor Byrne
7:16
Then I'll change my name to Benedict. Bring on the universal DH!
Jeff Todd
7:16
Conner, you're on crack if you think the Cards win over the Braves.
Connor Byrne
7:16
That's not very nice, Jeff, and I know you to be a nice guy.
Dom M.
7:16
someone who opts out could still get whacked with a QO?
Connor Byrne
7:17
Correct, so guys like Chapman, JDM and Stras could all get one.
Lou Gehrig
7:17
Will NYY try to trade Stanton if they lose and he has a bad playoff. Offer to pay 30% of salary. Hello SF calling?
Connor Byrne
7:18
I doubt it, nor do I think Stanton would accept. Didn't he reject a trade to the Giants before the Yankees got him?
Tim Tebow
7:18
Maybe the last Tebow question of all time.  Should I hang up the spikes or give it one last go?
Connor Byrne
7:18
If Tebow wants to keep playing, more power to him, but I don't see him getting to MLB.
Jim
7:19
If the white Sox were to get Gerrit Cole and JD Martinez, they have to make the playoffs right?
Connor Byrne
7:20
Not necessarily. Look at the offseason the Phillies just had. They improved by a grand total of one game. The White Sox have an even higher hill to climb than they did, though it helps they play in a division with a couple tomato cans.
Obstagoon
7:21
Would you like to go back in time to watch the 1912 world series?
Connor Byrne
7:21
Sure, why not?
Dan
7:22
Could you predict any managers on the hot seat that are currently in the playoffs if they lose?
Connor Byrne
7:22
Probably not. I guess maybe Dave Roberts if the unthinkable happens and the Dodgers get swept out of the NLDS or something, but that's not realistic.
A few more...
Ozzie Guillen
7:23
Do I take the Pittsburgh job? Or do I hold out for the Dodgers after they lose in NLCS?
Connor Byrne
7:23
I forgot Ozzie Guillen existed. Thanks for the reminder.
William
7:24
Pete Alonso > Aaron jdudge
Connor Byrne
7:24
Not exactly a crazy take at this juncture.
Just a guy
7:24
Reds time to shine next year with a big splash in offseason?
Connor Byrne
7:24
They're going to need more than one big splash.
One Guy and a Question
7:25
If you could be a team around one player, who would it be?
Connor Byrne
7:25
If the goal was immediate contention, Michael Nelson Trout. But longer term, Ron Acuna Jr.
Mike Trout
7:25
When will my reign as MLB best player end?
Connor Byrne
7:26
Speak of the devil. I'm not betting on anytime soon. Trout continues to amaze every single year.
Angel fan
7:26
I personally feel bad for Ausmus. He got a raw deal and don’t think that Maddon will be any type of savior or significant difference maker. Your thoughts?
Connor Byrne
7:26
Not that Ausmus is anything special as a manager, but I am surprised he got the boot after one season filled with so much adversity that was out of his control (Tyler Skaggs' death and all the injuries)
Mark
7:27
Where does Puig end up?
Connor Byrne
7:27
Wild guess: White Sox
