Unfortunately, King Felix doesn't have much of a case for a guaranteed deal. He has been one of the worst starters in baseball the past couple seasons. Sad to say that, as he was an absolute joy to watch for so many years.

Not until at least the next collective bargaining agreement (the current one expires in December 2021). I've been on the NL DH bandwagon for a lot of years, so I hope it happens.

Grandal rejected a 4/60 deal last offseason, if I remember correctly (I think we at MLBTR predicted 4/64 beforehand). Something in that vicinity once again looks reasonable.

I guess it's possible. Look at the offer they made Rendon ($200MM-plus, albeit with deferrals). They've got the money.

They'll at least try. TheIr GM, Alex Anthopolous, and Donaldson himself have suggested they'd be happy to stick together. Again, though, once a player hits free agency, I bet on the field to sign him instead of his current team.

If he can get 5/90, then yeah, but whether he can ... who knows right now. Over 30, coming off a lesser (but still very impressive) season than the past couple, little to no defensive value, and he'll be saddled with a QO.
