Connor Byrne
2:39
I think he's Hall of Very Good
Caleb Clark
2:39
Could Mel Rojas Jr make a MLB return? If so, what teams make sense?
Connor Byrne
2:40
It seems like there are "Mel Rojas Jr. Wants an MLB deal" rumors every year during the winter meetings, and it doesn't happen. I'm expecting more of that this offseason until proven otherwise.
Edwin Diaz
2:40
Why does everyone still think I am terrible? I have a 2.00 ERA in 18 innings this year.
Connor Byrne
2:40
I didn't even think Diaz was terrible last year. The results weren't good, but if I remember right, he was weirdly unlucky
Sambino
2:41
Do you think Jorge Posada was a Hall of Fame catcher?
Connor Byrne
2:41
I think Posada was grossly underrated, but not quite HOF level
Appa Yip Yip
2:42
With Teoscar out for who knows how long, should the Jays sign Puig or just roll with what they have?
Connor Byrne
2:42
I think the Puig ship has sailed for 2020
If he wants to come back to MLB on a high note, maybe he'll spend next season in Asia, mash and then try to return
Joshua
2:43
In the offseason, would a Starlin Castro to the A's for Mark Canha make sense? Castro can fill the A's second base void, and with the Nats having Kieboom and Garcia, they could use Canha in RF and 1B. Thoughts?
Connor Byrne
2:44
Canha's a lot better than Castro, and without looking, I'm pretty sure Canha's controllable for quite a bit longer
Sam
2:45
What are the check chances JT Realmuto is with the Yankees next season?
Connor Byrne
2:45
I'd kick the tires from their point of view, especially if they continue flaming out. Otherwise, unless they're convinced someone like James McCann is really this good, I expect Sanchez to stay
Padres
2:46
How much better are we than the Dodgers? Will we beat them in 3, 4 or 5 games in the NLDS?
Connor Byrne
2:46
You'll beat them in zero games because the Dodgers will forfeit out of fear (seriously, though, LA's the best team in the game)
JR
2:47
Do you think that JTR ends up signing a FA contract with the Phil's.  They'll be losing the Arrieta and Robertson contracts after this season.
Connor Byrne
2:48
I think it'll get done, but not without JTR testing free agency first
Mark
2:48
More likely to be resigned by the Cubs this offseason - Quintana or Tyler Chatwood?
Connor Byrne
2:48
I trust Quintana lot more, and he should be attainable at a bargain price
Phil Niekro
2:49
How many starters should the Braves add this offseason?
Connor Byrne
2:49
1-2. I love the Soroka, Fried, Anderson foundation
then again, who doesn't?
Dinelson
2:50
Am I in your top 5 for the NL CY?
Connor Byrne
2:51
I've been doing MVP/Cy Young/ROY power rankings for MLBTR subscribers throughout the year. Lamet has been in the Cy section a couple times. He's still a strong contender, but I'm not sure about this week yet. Still have to study the latest results. Either way, he's great and it's nice to see him break out
Riotmaker
2:51
Will the Giants extend Yastrzemski?
Connor Byrne
2:52
They don't need to. He's 30 and under control for a while longer
Cliff
2:53
Do the Dodgers kick themselves for not making a deadline move?
Connor Byrne
2:53
No, because they're great. Doesn't mean they'll win the WS, but there was no need for them to do anything.
All time great
2:54
Who would be an all time great hitter and pitcher you never saw play but would have loved to?
Connor Byrne
2:54
Are Babe Ruth and Walter Johnson boring answers?
Jays Fan
2:55
When does Vlad become good?
Connor Byrne
2:56
He's a 21-year-old who has been an above-average hitter (albeit slightly) in the majors over a good amount of plate appearances. He's already sort of good when you consider his age. I'm not worried about him.
AZ Yankee
2:56
Yankees need to trade for pitching this offseason (I don't like the FA SP options).  What do you think of them going after Plesac, Lynn?
Connor Byrne
2:57
I don't really see Plesac going anywhere, but Lynn makes sense. I would've kept him from their POV last time.
Kyles Dad
2:58
I don’t understand how seagers contract is a poison pill. 2/33 mil for someone producing like Seager is good value. Can you explain?
Connor Byrne
2:58
Beccause he has a high-priced option that will turn into a player option if traded. That's risky for any team.
OK, sorry to cut it short, but I have to go cover the site. Thanks, everyone! Take care until next time
