I think a big move is definitely still possible, but this offseason could be like last year's Jays offseason --- one big Ryu-esque move, and several smaller moves to raise the talent floor.

With my MO of one year deals, so gn Kluber for 1 yr and resign Ozuna to get “over the hump” make sense?
Mark P

Kluber would definitely fit the Braves' MO.  I said this in another chat recently, but I'm not sure the Braves (or any NL team) will make a big move for Ozuna on a multi-year deal unless they are very sure the universal DH will be here by 2022 at the latest

Erik Kratz future coach?
Mark P

Seems like everyone has him tagged as a future coach or manager, so if he wants such a job, he'll have no trouble finding work

Do you think the Nats are a good fit to land Musgrove? The pitching in their system is more quantity or quality.

Nats make sense for Musgrove, sure.

I know prospect rankings aren't set in stone, but it's a little eye-popping at look at MLB.com's top 30 Nats prospects list and notice that their top 10 guys are ALL pitchers.  Nobody in the top 100, however.

will Ricky Renteria ever have another manager gig?
Mark P

He has proven twice over that he can help develop a young team back up to contention, so I'd imagine he might get some looks from teams in a rebuild situation.  I'd imagine Renteria wouldn't say no to another MLB gig, but man, I feel a bit sorry for the guy, doing all the heavy lifting through the rebuild years and then getting fired

Am I Only one who think Robbie Ray was overpaid?
Mark P

Based on solely his 2020 numbers, you can make that case.  But for his overall track record of being a reasonably solid and reasonably durable starter, it's very fair and maybe a bargain

That's it for me tonight, thanks for all the questions!
