Does the lack of clarity regarding the DH in the NL put NL GMs at a disadvantage in the FA market?
Mark P
1:40
Absolutely.  Some executives have gone on record expressing their frustration about this, and I'm sure they're not getting any less frustrated as the offseason drags on

Are the Yankees a possible destination for Trevor Bauer?
Mark P
1:41
I highly doubt it.  Yankees seem to want to get under the luxury tax threshold, and whatever dollars they have might be directed towards LeMahieu

Hello, Mark.  Is there any chance that the Dodgers use David Price as a closer until they get their rotation and bullpen in order?
Mark P
1:44
Doubtful, but I like the creativity

How long will LaRussa last as White Sox manager?
Mark P
1:45
The hiring was so unexpected that it's hard to figure it by normal managerial hiring standards.  Jerry Reinsdorf clearly loves TLR and will give him a lot of leeway, but honestly, I'd be surprised to still see La Russa managing beyond 2022

Who do you see AA signing to shore up the outfield? David Dahl?
Mark P
1:47
Dahl makes sense for a lot of teams, and in the Braves' case, they have another other outfielders that he wouldn't have to play every day (and thus have a better chance of staying healthy)
Yanks want Bauer
1:47
Could Rusney Castillo have a breakout year if he leaves Boston?
Mark P
1:48
Rusney getting another chance with a big league team and succeeding would be a fun new chapter to his career.

Lots of talk linking Ha-Seong Kim with the Rangers and even Tigers, but what about the A's? There's a need in Oakland for a middle-infielder.
Mark P
1:49
A's make a lot of sense for Kim from a pure baseball standpoint, but the question is whether or not they have the money available to sign him.  MLBTR had Kim getting a five-year, $40MM deal, which might be out of Oakland's price range

Would a Brad Keller for Jo adell trade work
Mark P
1:50
Nope.  I doubt Adell is dealt for anyone, but if the Angels did decide to move him, it would be for a top-tier ace.  Keller is a decent arm but not that ace.
Nick K
1:51
Would the White Sox be willing to move on from Vaughn or Madrigal and or Cease or Dunning for snell or lynn?
Mark P
1:52
Not for Lynn, who is only under contract for a year.

The Rays would want players like that for Snell, so a deal could potentially make sense
Charles Finley
1:52
TB always seems to trade pitchers who then have their arms fall off (Moore, Shields, Price was never as good as he was in TB).  Should there be wariness about trading for Snell?  I just feel like he could be exactly such a guy.
Mark P
1:53
The Rays have a great track record in trades, but it's not a perfect one.  While not a pitching deal, Cronenworth/Pham for Renfroe/Edwards didn't exactly work out for Tampa, outside of saving them some money.
1:54
But overall, you have a point.  If I'm another team, I think hard before making any trade with the Rays, since they're usually not wrong on players

Self-promotion time: I covered this very issue in the Nationals' offseason outlook this week!

Does that tweet from Bauer the other night to angel fans mean anything?
Mark P
1:57
Bauer is clearly having some fun teasing the fanbases of various teams, so I would guess not
Donald McRonald

How smart is it for the Cards to resign Yadi and Waino?  Not that much of a WAR upgrade on the backups, and could potentially get a Sonny Gray instead.
Mark P
1:59
I'm pretty sure the Reds wouldn't deal Gray within the division.  And I wouldn't say there's a lack of value with either, Wainwright is coming off a good season.

Think the jays would rather Dahl/DJ or Wong/JT?
Mark P
2:01
As a Jays fan, I would prefer Wong/JT, and I think the team mayyyyyyybe would feel the same way?

Do you like Clint Eastwood as a director?
Mark P
2:02
He's directed a few great to very good movies, but overall, a lot of forgettable stuff.

I was seeing some rumors surrounding Trout traded to the Mets, if it's real would it be possible and for what pieces would the Angels acquire in return?
Mark P
2:04
That's not happening
Dave
2:06
What moves do you foresee royals making? Any names? Thanks for great work!
Mark P
2:06
The Mike Minor signing was interesting, and maybe a sign that KC will be more active than most expected.  Or, it's also just as possible that Minor will be the only major (wordplay!) acquisition the Royals all winter.
George Springer

Can I anticipate a $200 million dollar deal?
Mark P
2:08
Nope
Larry Ellison
2:09
Is Jason Heyward the dumbest signing in mlb history?
Mark P
2:09
Not even close.  Obviously the Cubs would've preferred to have gotten more than they have from Heyward, but flags fly forever.

If the Rays trade Snell after already losing Morton, are they still a contender?
