My guess is that for anyone short of Bauer or a Snell/Darvish/Castillo type in a trade, the headline is "Angels add pitching, but do they have enough?"

What do you think the likelihood is that we get three consecutive shortened seasons, 2020 and 2021 due to pandemic, and 2022 due to some form of work stoppage?

There is a decent chance.  I am definitely leaning towards a shortened 2021 season, and while I would like to think that a new CBA could be settled without a work stoppage, the recent vibe between the league and the MLBPA doesn't make me too optimistic.

I'd be surprised if the Tribe hadn't already been in touch with Schwarber's reps.  He would work well as a LF/DH for them, and maybe even a first baseman with some reps

There hasn't been any word of anything between Tanaka and the Yankees, and in fact, indications are that he won't be returning: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2020/12/free-agent-notes-mccann-angels-...

Now, it could be that the Yankees simply are holding off on absolutely everything until LeMahieu's situation is figured out, and maybe the NYY and Tanaka have a handshake deal to talk contract once LeMahieu is settled one way or the other.  But for now, signs are pointing towards Tanaka pitching elsewhere in 2021

Niekro was great and tremendously underrated. His era was filled with incredible pitchers in the National League, so he never won a Cy Young Award, but he put up nearly 100 WAR and pitched effectively into his mid-40s. 2020 has really sucked.

Haha, as a Blue Jays fan, I have spent the last couple of weeks trying to figure out permutations of deals that would see some combo of Castillo/Gray plus one of Suarez/Moustakas and Akiyama as contract filler going to Toronto.  But, it would definitely more than Kirk/filler for Castillo and Akiyama.
