Turner's reported ask for four years seemed like a reach, and I think he'll ultimately re-sign in LA for something like your two years+option scenario.  Really, if I'm the Dodgers, I might just offer him the third guaranteed year and call it a day.
Is it just a fantasy
12:37
Do you think A’s still have enough money to sign La Stella
Mark P
12:38
Since there doesn't seem to be a ton going on in his market, maybe?  But the A's don't seem to have much to spend, and they might not want to expend what might be all of their available payroll space on just La Stella

Are we 100% sure the qualifying offer will exist next offseason?
Mark P
12:39
It's anyone's guess as to what the next CBA will do to baseball business, but if i had to make a prediction, I think the QO will remain in some form or another
Bauer
12:40
Aren't I being a little selfish trying to convince a team to go to a 4 man rotation just for ME without considering the consequences for the other guys in the rotation? Especially the 5th starter that will get booted to the bullpen.
Mark P
12:40
Bauer addressed this in a YouTube video last week, talking about how he didn't want his usage to disrupt his teammates: https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2021/01/trevor-bauer-discusses-free-age...
12:42
And Bauer is just asking that he himself be used on short rest, not the entire rest of the rotation.  Frankly, the 2021 season seems like a pretty good test case for him to try this out, considering how many teams will be juggling their rotations (using openers, resting guys, building innings back up, etc.)

Is B.Woodruff untouchable in trades talk?
Mark P
12:43
No Brewers player can be called truly untouchable, but Woodruff would be pretty close to it.
Stearns and company would need a major, major offer to move him
Dodgers
12:44
If the Dodgers resign Justin Turner, extend Corey Seager, and sign a utility guy like Profar, is that a successful offseason? Do the return to the World Series?
Mark P
12:44
That would definitely seem like a good winter's worth of activity in my books.  The Dodgers had a lot fewer questions than most teams.

Jose Ramirez for Gonsolin and Keibert. Deal?
Mark P
12:44
Cleveland would want a lot more than that for Ramirez

Are Indians in on Benintendi a trade?
Mark P
12:46
Nothing specifically linking Cleveland to Benintendi, but it would make a lot of sense for them
Personally, I wondered if KC might be a landing spot, since they're known to be looking for a lefty bat

Bradley signing seems like an amazing deal. 28 year old with a career 2.95 era as a reliever gets 1/6? Feels like a league wide misfire.
Mark P
12:48
That looks like a nice get for the Phillies, indeed

The "Universal DH" is holding up a lot of signings (Cruz,Ozuna) what's your sources(or gut) saying about it? Also, for clarity,  is MLB using 25 or 26 man rosters thisyear?
Mark P
12:51
This is just speculation on my part, but I think the universal DH will be back and this is all a lot of posturing and foot-dragging on the part of both the league and the MLBPA.  If there's this much drama involved in trying to settle something both sides want, it doesn't bode well for CBA talks.

26-man rosters, barring any further adjustments as we approach the season
Mets Forever
12:52
Are Mets fans ready to call owner Steve Cohen, all mouth with middle-market team action?   The moves to date aren’t bad, but no earth-shattering moves other than the Lindor trade
Mark P
12:52
Since Cohen has about a 99.9% approval rating with Mets fans right now, I'd guess you're in the 0.01%
Or, 0.1%
Math isn't my strong suit

Who is your WS champion prediction for this season?
Mark P
12:53
Still an awful lot of moves to be made, so I'll take the easy route (and maybe the correct route) in predicting a Dodgers repeat

Love this chat by the way. I think its awesome how you guys interact with your readers. Very cool

SKINNER!!! Sould German Marquez cost more than Blake Snell?
Mark P
12:56
Since Marquez is locked up for as many as four seasons of control and Snell only three, I'd say yes.

The numbers between the two pitchers, btw: https://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=all&stats=pit&lg=all&qual=0...
Trade Vlad
12:56
Would the Jays consider trading Vladdy for a pitching package? He’s not the athletic, multi-positional player that the Jays seem to value.
Mark P
12:58
I'd say no, because Vlad has yet to scratch the surface of his talent potential and he's still so young.

But, of the Jays' untouchable young cornerstones, I would guess he might be the least untouchable, if that makes sense. Bichette and Biggio were drafted by the current front office, whereas Guerrero was signed before Shapiro/Atkins came aboard
DJ Lema-phew
12:59
Have to admit, smart move by the Yankees giving DJLM the two extra years to lower their cap hit and meet his overall price.. does this become a template for Mets w springer? 6/130? 7/140?
Mark P
12:59
Between the DJ deal and Hendriks' deal with the White Sox, we've seen some interesting creativity with contracts as of late.  Springer and his reps are surely taking notice.

GOAT and Willie Mays.
Mark P

Of the five or six people who have a legitimate case as the baseball GOAT, Mays is absolutely right up there

Buster Posey is only signed for this upcoming season. What do you see happening with him. Does he resign or retire at a young age ?
Mark P
1:03
Posey has indicated that he wants to keep playing, so obviously 2021 will be a big test to see just what he has left in the tank after his hip surgery year and not playing in 2020
1:04
I'm not sure I see him retiring entirely, since if not the Giants, you'd think some team would be open to signing him for 2022 (if on a lower-cost deal)
