Can't see them signing Harper. Can't believe everything the GM says, but it's pretty clear that he's not a great fit there. Machado is a different story. Have to think the Yankees are in the mix.

What are the chances the cardinals trade Wong so they can move carpenter to 2b instead of 3b and sign one of the many 2b fa’s?

Nah. I think they really like Wong at 2B and al those free agent 2Bs hurt his trade value. Their lineup is really good right now, in my opinion. If Fowler doesn't bounce back, then they can go with Martinez or O'Neill. They're strong everywhere else.

It decreases the number of times that the "primary" pitcher has to face the team's best hitters. It's a good strategy.
