Why is injuries way up all over baseball this year? This is just crazy how many people keep getting hurt and going on the DL?

I think teams are utilizing the DL more often since it's only 10 days now as opposed to 15. It does seem as though pitchers are getting hurt a lot more often. Definitely in the last 20 years. Not sure how much in the last 5-10.

With more hitters who can easily reach the seats, I'm assuming that pitchers are also throwing at higher max velocity and throwing breaking pitches more often so hitters can make less contact. So more HRs, more Ks, more pitchers hurting themselves. Pitching depth is more important than ever.

Hope not, but it does say a lot the Rangers weren't even interested in giving Lincecum a shot at the MLB level. A return to SF would've been fun, even if as a long reliever, but haven't heard anything.

Yes. Sanchez's value isn't anywhere near where it could be after a healthy season so I doubt he's going anywhere. Stroman could be at pretty close to peak value if he has a good 5-6 start run before the deadline. So we'll see.

Doubtful. He's emerging as the face of their franchise. I'm sure they'll listen, but the price tag is rising every day and I don't see any team willing to give up what it costs for 4+ years of Snell.
