Greg Bird is starting a rehab assignment tomorrow. He should get a reset after a rough start. If he struggles again, they could figure it out in a month or so. Tyler Austin is also close to returning. He could figure into the mix.

Do you think the Braves will trade Matt Adams at the trade deadline, assuming Freeman's back and healthy? Adams can't play in the outfield, so it doesn't look to be any room there. Maybe an AL team could use him at 1B and DH?

They should and I think they'll try. If the 1B market is as bad as it was in the offseason, though, it will be tough.

Will the Phillies call up Scott Kingery this summer? He appears blocked at his position, but is putting up Trout -esque numbers. Also, were the scouts looking at the wrong guy or simply blind when they graded his power?? He is listed at 35 FV, but has 16 HR already.

His stock is rising, but I'll reserve judgement until he gets to AAA and plays there for a few months. From what I hear, there are some very hitter-friendly ballparks in AA.

Pretty much every site I have read has said the twins will draft wright with the #1 pick, what do you think? And does he have top of the rotation upside?

Yes he does. And he better if he's the No. 1 pick. I was so upset about 10 yrs ago when the Padres took a guy who was projected to be a good mid-rotation guy with the 23rd pick (Nick Schmidt).

I think it's going to go down to the wire between the Yankees and Red Sox. If Price stays healthy and pitches well, they're my pick. Could depend on how aggressive Yankees are at the deadline. They'll need another SP at some point. Chance Adams could be the answer, but the Yankees have the trade chips to get an ace.

Can't trade a player who isn't doing well. Why not released yet? It's getting close to that point, but his track record and $12.5MM contract give him a longer leash than you'd expect.

It's going to be whichever rookie they think needs some rest. None of them deserve to be optioned, but none of them are capable of holding up for 30+ starts this season.

Can't sell when they're only 5.5 games out in the division. If they fall 10 games out of a playoff spot while Duffy is on the DL, that's around the time they'd start selling.

Six-man rotation leaves them one man short on the bench or bullpen so probably not. I think Adams will be in the mix soon somehow. Could give Montgomery or Severino a break on the 10-Day DL. I'm sure they'll have some minor aches and pains.

Meadows is on fire down in AAA. Adam Frazier has cooled off a bit. Marte has about 40 games left before he returns. Wouldn't be a surprise if it was within a week or two.

Probably no big names. Dyson, Ruiz, Cishek, Rzepczynski will almost certainly be traded. Probably Gallardo. Maybe Valencia. I think they'd deal Segura but the price would be high.
