What type of year do u see Desclafani having for Cinci?
Jeffrey Todd
3:19
Hopefully a good one, since I just added him in the MLBTR fantasy league.
AJ
3:19
is it really unreasonable to think the Padres could contend? solid starting pitching, lots of potential in the lineup. only knock I have on them is the bullpen, but that's always hard to predict.
Jeffrey Todd
3:19
Your outlook is way more bullish than mine, but sure, they could content.
Ali
3:19
Yadier Molina's bat is declining at a rapid rate, should the cardinals be worried ?
Jeffrey Todd
3:20
I would be. He's been an absolutely outstanding player, but we all get old and hurt at some point.
Mike
3:20
Wilmoth the new part timer?
Jeffrey Todd
3:20
Charlie started at the exact same time I did, like three years ago. But we have filled that position and the new guy will likely show up on the site pretty soon.
Stan
3:21
Do you agree with Tim's FA rankings? Couldn't another solid year from Reddick move him ahead of Bautista as he is much younger and shows power in a pitchers park?
Jeffrey Todd
3:22
I do, actually. They can and certainly will change quite a bit over the course of the year, of course. And yeah, if Reddick has a nice year and Bautista does anything less than his usual, that's plausible.
Aaron
3:22
White sox better off with laroche retiring?
Jeffrey Todd
3:22
If he leaves all the money on the table, yes.
Cody
3:22
Do you think the Astros would be willing to part with Springer for a veteran pitcher at the deadline, like CC Sabathia or Anibal Sanchez?
Jeffrey Todd
3:23
Why not aim even higher? If Wheeler comes back, maybe the Mets would part with Bartolo frickin' Colon.
Patrick-11
3:23
Hi,Jeff where do you see the Pirates finishing in the NL Central this season?
Jeffrey Todd
3:24
I'm with the aforementioned Charlie Wilmoth, who put them in 2nd in the division on last week's podcast.
Mike
3:24
You going the Chat Thursday as well?
Jeffrey Todd
3:24
Yeah, sorry, you're stuck with me the next two weeks.
Rick
3:24
What do you think about Miguel Sano as a dark horse for the triple crown?
Jeffrey Todd
3:25
Everyone is a dark horse for the Triple Crown, at best. But if you'd care to wager, I will be glad to accept a bet.
Yaakov
3:25
When is the mets review coming
Jeffrey Todd
3:26
On my docket, but one of the prizes of going to the WS is that your review goes to the end of the line.
Paul
3:26
When will be see aluminum bats added to the game? Its 2016 and would really make the game that much more exciting, as a forward thinker I think Manfred will at least explore this option
Jeffrey Todd
3:26
I mean, never, I hope. College uses BBCOR because the real deal is too dangerous at that level. It would be absolutely insane at the majors. And the BBCOR bats are way less fun than wood. Heck, my old dude league uses wood and it's awesome. No reason to change everything.
Chris
3:28
What do you think of Hulk Hogan's sex tape?
Jeffrey Todd
3:28
Sorry, can't pass on this chance. Obviously I don't care about the tape itself, but the damage that company did in its depositions has to be the most amazing litigation error I've ever been made aware of. Mind boggling.
3:29
No more lawyer talk ... few more baseball questions and I've gotta run.
Ari
3:29
I can't believe you answered the question about the aluminum bats.
Jeffrey Todd
3:29
Fair criticism.
Paul
3:29
Agree to disagree I suppose, guys have better reflexes and I think the dangers are overblown
Jeffrey Todd
3:30
Dude, people would die. I really think this.
Ben
3:30
Twins trade for left in pen
Jeffrey Todd
3:30
Their decision not to do more there is a bit baffling. Maybe they'll do something late in camp, but they seemingly passed on a lot of opportunities.
Lar
3:30
Holliday at first base a good idea for the Cards?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
Absolutely. I can understand not wanting to try it mid-season, but the guy obviously isn't a stellar outfielder at his age and they have good reason to want his right-handed bat available there.
Tommy Lasordid
3:31
Scott Van Slyke for Cody Anderson. Why not?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
Interesting. And nice handle.
AJ
3:32
what kind of return could cashner get at the trade deadline of his numbers return to the sub 3 era level?
Jeffrey Todd
3:32
If he's running out a sub-3 ERA with the peripherals to match, he could be the best rental arm available. So, quite a good one. That assumes a lot, of course, and if he's throwing that well maybe the team is still in it.
3:33
Okay, I've finally scrolled to the bottom of the queue, so I'm going to call it.
