The over 35 team looks good. You've got a starting lineup of something like: C Pierzynski, 1B Pujols, 2B Utley, 3B Beltre, SS Rollins, LF Cruz, CF Granderson, RF Bautita, DH Ortiz. Defense and IF depth is an issue. The rotation is not great: Lackey, Burnett, Haren, Dickey, Colon and maybe Colby Lewis or Harang. The bullpen could be great, including, among many others Javier Lopez, Choate, Madson, Benoit, Neshak, Ziegler, Thornton, Uehara and Casilla.

All of them? Maybe like 20% for me. They signaled where things are headed when they traded Kimbrel, shed Gyorko's contract, and didn't spend much. Barring a surprising first half, somebody's probably getting dealt.

It's a sunk cost, one that they have already treated completely like a line on the balance sheet. No reason to let that factor in. (I'm more or less agnostic on the call, tough.)
