Last season the Angels trade to get a mediocre group of outfielders to attempt to fix the left field situation. Like that mix, who are the realistic targets for the Angels this season?
Jeffrey Todd
2:32
Well, if last year is the model, they'll probably trade for Ryan Raburn, Marlon Byrd, and Chris Heisey.
2:33
My own guess is they won't be in much position to add at the deadline anyway.
FUN!
2:33
who will finish 2016 closer to 0 runs per game... Dodgers pitching staff or Padres offense?
Jeffrey Todd
2:33
Padres O

What do you think of Hanley? I know it's only a few games but his swing looks pretty good and he's not looking half bad on the bases and first base
Jeffrey Todd
2:34
He's looked like he's moving well, has good body language, etc, and the underlying ability isn't in question.
Nate
2:34
Will teams be more hesitant to sign Ian Desmond next year as a shortstop now that he's an outfielder?
Jeffrey Todd
2:34
I'd think so.
Jamison Parker

Is David Wright a Hall of Famer?
Jeffrey Todd
2:35
As of now? No.
He'd have to have like 5 more very productive years, I think.

Randall grichuk is not off to a good start. Move down in lineup or AAA
Jeffrey Todd
2:35
Can't they just fire him?
Let's give it some time.

What should Braves fans expect out of Ender Inciarte, besides the dazzling defense we've seen so far?
Jeffrey Todd
2:36
About what he's shown so far ... wheels, the ability to get on base in some kinda crafty ways, and excellent CF defense.

In regards to Bautista and his contract, do you think he'd go a heavily incentive based contract that will put him at potentially 30 million? Dude obviously has confidence in his body. Example 20 mil a year, incentives to 30.
Jeffrey Todd
2:36
Guaranteed money is king.

After the CBA expires are we heading for a work stoppage?
Jeffrey Todd
2:37
Way too much to lose for that to be a reasonable scenario, as things stand. Game is healthy and growing - it's about splitting up the treasure.

If Cespedes has a regular year (260 25 80) does he opt out or wait to see what he gets in the loaded class where he probably won't be top 25 and will be too old to get big bucks?
Jeffrey Todd
2:37
Opt out unless he has a real dud.
2:38
Next year's market is light. Two years later he's too old to get rich, as you say.

Do you think Juan Nicasio is going another in a long line of Ray Searage reclamation projects?
Jeffrey Todd
2:39
Charlie WIlmoth talked about it on today's podcast and had a good perspective. He's in the upper 90s as a starter and has been in command. But he's still mostly a 2-pitch guy, needs to show it consistently, etc, etc. Worst case scenario, though, doesn't he seem like a nice add to the pen even if he can't keep working his magic from the rotation? I'm certainly not betting against a full-fledged Searage miracle.

Rolling Stone argues 'The Bad News Bears' is the greatest baseball movie ever made. Does it even crack your Top 5?
Jeffrey Todd
2:39
I haven't made a specific list in my head, but it would be way up there, yeah. I love that movie.
Zach Britton
2:40
Am I a top 3 closer in all of base all?
Jeffrey Todd
2:40
If not that, then top 5.
Jack

If the Orioles add a #2 or #3 SP at the break chances they make the playoffs?
James
2:40
Do you see the Red Sox going and getting a legit #2, clearly Buch just doesn't have it, and I don't trust Porcello as far as I can throw him.
kd
2:40
Are the Yankees a solid #2 starter away from a great season? Garner trade gets them one?
Jeffrey Todd
2:41
Looks like there's going to be some serious trade deadline competition for #2 starters. Better get your wallets out, fellas.

Which prospect gets called up after service time considerations are no longer a concern (i.e. Kris Bryant)?
Jeffrey Todd
2:42
Not sure there's anyone really waiting around for two weeks like that this year.
The most exciting guys still in the minors are probably Giolito and Glasnow, for me, but they seem likely to wait til a need arises.
(Or past super two, esp in Pirates' case.)

Over or under: 2.5 relievers that are currently on the Phillies roster spend the whole year on the big club. Its been brutal.
Jeffrey Todd
2:43
That seems like a good place to put the over/under. Going to be lots of turnover.
