I know. I was telling Steve Adams after the trade that he'd net them a decent deadline piece. Oops.
Gladys Peavy
3:51
My son looked pretty good the other night. Will Bochy leave him in the rotation and if not, who would the Giants pickup to replace my son.
Jeffrey Todd
3:51
I enjoy the mom questions. Hope that's her real name.
Donk
3:51
Assuming Peavy goes right back to sucking, Rich Hill perfect for the Giants?
Jeffrey Todd
3:52
Could be a good fit, sure. But there'll be competition.
Cookie Monster

Are the Indians legit?
Jeffrey Todd
3:52
Yes. Carrasco coming back to the staff. Brantley will be back.
Billy

I hit you up on Twitter yesterday about this but can you elaborate a bit on what kind of haul it would take to pry Pomerantz from the Padres? Seems like a lot of teams could use him right now.
Jeffrey Todd
3:53
Must've missed that on Twitter. I think he needs to show this for a longer stretch before there'd be offers to SDP's liking. They need guys like him, esp. with the injury/performance questions with the guys they thought they'd be leaning on (and/or getting big trade returns for).

What do extensions for Bogaerts and Betts look like? 7yr/$100MM?
Jeffrey Todd
3:54
Higher, were I repping them. Premium young talent capable of playing up the middle.

Is Tomlin for real? His 2015-2016 stats are pretty nuts. I get he gives up homeruns, but wow does he look good.
Jeffrey Todd
3:54
Speaking of extensions ... that one is looking rather nice for the team. Even if he settles into being just a solid back of the rotation guy, real nice get.

Is Brandon Belt the most underrated firstbaseman in the league
Jeffrey Todd
3:55
Might be. I'm a big fan. Though I did say they didn't need to extend him ... so, of course, they did. But I liked the deal.

When is the earliest a recent free agent signing can be traded
Jeffrey Todd
3:56
June 15 I believe.

What moves do the Nationals make?
Jeffrey Todd
3:56
If injuries don't intervene, it's probably a club that doesn't have to do anything in particular. But I'd guess late-inning arm if they make a move.

Jason Heyward still worth the dough or would the Cubs take a pass if they had to do it over
Jeffrey Todd
3:57
Don't think their thought process would change based on first 1/4 of first season of the contract.

Will you be providing any additional MLB draft content as it approaches? I'm really interested in hearing about which prospects have been tied to specific teams etc.
Jeffrey Todd
3:58
It's really not our core focus or the area we have expertise in, so I foresee a typical set of coverage that focuses on broader relevance and the very top players. But check out our top draft prospect interview series from Chuck Wasserstrom!

When is the trade deadline this year? It was extended a few days from July 31st right?
Jeffrey Todd
3:58
August 1

I miss you!

I'm not really a Tigers fan but can't help but notice you haven't mentioned anything about them...
Jeffrey Todd
4:00
I have passed on some questions. Guess I don't have a good feel for what I think they should/could do.
Sox
4:00
Why do you hate the White Sox?
Jeffrey Todd
4:00
Not sure what I did to suggest that!

LaRussa is going to storm into your chat room if you aren't careful. Any thoughts on that weird story?
Jeffrey Todd
4:01
Just that Bucs announcer Greg Brown is a cool guy! I'm friends with his nephew.

What does an extension for me look like? 8yrs/ 120MM
Jeffrey Todd
4:01
That's light IMO.
@JonHeyman
Hector Olivera has accepted 82-game suspension thru Aug. 1, MLB announces
4:02
That's very interesting.
Aussie Giants Fan..

G'day mate (ok yeah I had too) read awhile ago that the Rays were iffy on catching prospects, of Peavy is still struggling could you see the Giants looking to trade Susac for of of their starters? Moore/Ordrizzi/Smyly? Obviously more pieces would be needed from the Giants end... Could it work?
Jeffrey Todd
4:03
As always, folks writing in from foreign lands get top priority ... I have a tough time assessing what the Giants are thinking with Susac. From the outside, he's blocked by the game's very best catcher and could be cashed in. But he's never really come up much in legitimate rumors.
It's not a bad thought at all, though.
