Jeffrey Todd

Tough guy to gauge.
Mike
3:27
What have you thought about Albert Almora Jr.'s first week in the Majors?
Jeffrey Todd
3:27
Looks sharp, confident. Fun player to watch.
AK
3:28
What about Betances for Schwarber, potentially lesser pieces from both sides in addition to make it slightly more equitable?
Jeffrey Todd
3:28
More plausible starting point, but really it seems like people are looking for a reason to include Schwarber in a deal. The guy is injured, it's probably not happening.
Emily
3:29
Sandy Leon is my favorite player! He started 5-5. Sign of a good season to come? :)
Jeffrey Todd
3:29
Can't ask for a better 3rd/4th catcher, to be sure.
Big Al
3:30
Which Rockies reliever is most likely to move at the deadline? I vote Boone Logan, but it could be McGee or Motte.
Jeffrey Todd
3:30
Don't see a lot of interest. McGee has seen his K rate plummet and now he's hurt. Maybe Logan would get some hits if they eat salary, but ...
'course the Rox probably will just end up not selling anyone even if they really fall off. Can't figure them.
Jeffrey Todd
3:30
What's for dinner?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
I'm living in a sublet and have been on the road for a week. Whatever I can pull out of the fridge or get via delivery.
Crunchy Black
3:31
Does Dan Straily have any trade value?
Jeffrey Todd
3:31
Maybe a little. Nothing about peripherals suggests he's some emergent ace.
Trade Value
3:32
What player do you and Steve disagreemist on regarding that player's trade value, and why are you right?
Jeffrey Todd
3:32
We rarely disagree, really, but we'll have to try to come up with some to argue over.
DK
3:33
How often are you actually physically in the same room as Dierkes?
Jeffrey Todd
3:33
He lives in the Chicago area. I do not. So, it's infrequent.
Job doesn't really require it, obviously.
3:34
How weird would it be though if he just burst into the room right now? OH HI TIM.
Sean
3:34
Favorite broadcast crew?
Jeffrey Todd
3:34
Vin.
George Springer
3:34
Am I due for a breakout?
Jeffrey Todd
3:35
You're hitting the snot out of the ball as usual. ???
Jim
3:35
You said earlier in the chat the Mets should shoot higher for third base. What type of player do you have in mind?
Jeffrey Todd
3:36
Nobody in particular, and not necessarily at third. Just don't see a ton of need right now for another solid fill-in type. They'll have to be patient to find the right asset, and maybe they won't ... or maybe it'll be a SS or 2B and they'll move someone. Dunno.
Stat-Man
3:36
You're right Todd, because stat guys know that there is know difference with a guy batting with a runner on and the game on the line vs leading off an inning in an 8-0 game ... I should just look at the numbers like stat guys and forget about watching the game :-)
Jeffrey Todd
3:36
You should watch the game and look at the numbers.
3:37
It's not like it's some new-school concept to suggest that a hitter should reach base.

Will the angels be sellers at the deadline?
Jeffrey Todd
3:37
Weird spot. Even if they want to sell, they probably want to keep guys like Yunel and Street for next year.
3:38
Okay winding down here ... 3 more (or so)!
Gary H. Pornswinslow
3:38
Mookie Betts. Is he the next Andrew McCutchen?
Jeffrey Todd
3:38
He has that kind of ability.
Guest
3:39
do u think the nationals resign Wilson Ramos?
Jeffrey Todd
3:39
Real good question. He could be a guy they go after mid-season for an extension.
Cheese and gum
3:39
Do the Rangers lock up Desmond or QO him?
Jeffrey Todd
3:40
Definitely on track for a QO, but not sure he ends up with TEX.
alex
3:40
Would you say there is a 50/50 chance the next CBA gets rid of the QO system
