I still love the Nats as a fit for him... right-handed, injury-prone options at 1B and in LF. Moss could probably rack up 400+ plate appearances there and be quite effective in that role. Blue Jays could still use another corner outfield option as well, and pushing Smoak into a bench role while Pearce/Moss see most of the time at first base is hardly a bad thing. Rangers could still use some help at 1B/DH and things with Napoli don't appear to be racing toward a conclusion.

I don't know why it has to be only one of the three. There are multiple options for each out there. I'd imagine Atkins and Shapiro would like to acquire one of each.

Would the Dodgers be willing to include another solid prospect in a Dozier/DeLeon swap if the Twins took on Kazmir or McCarthy?

I've wondered that as well. Frankly, I don't think the Twins should have to eat some onerous contract in order to get two good prospects for Dozier at $15MM over the next two seasons. They probably don't, either. It's quite possible the Dodgers have floated that idea, and the Twins have responded by saying they'd want a third solid prospect in order to facilitate that kind of salary dump. (Which, again, I wouldn't find unreasonable on their end.)

If the Marlins are out of it by the trade deadline, who do you see them shipping out?

I wouldn't imagine any of the core group would be in play. Stanton, Yelich, Prado, Gordon, Realmuto, Ozuna probably all stay put in that scenario. But shorter-term guys like Tazawa, Ziegler, Volquez, Locke, all make sense. They'd be wise to put A.J. Ramos' name out there as well and see what he'd fetch, as he's going to be damn expensive in arbitration next year with another season of saves under his belt.

Don't really think Bautista was holding up the Bruce market much. I mean, I suppose it's one less corner bat available, but it didn't seem like too many teams were knocking down the door to get their hands on him. Bruce's market isn't that strong because there are still comparable players out there (Moss, for instance) that'll command less money and won't cost minor league talent to acquire

If he drops to the point where he's only looking for a year and $10MM or so or something like 2/18, then sure, but I can easily see Wieters and Boras holding out until early or mid-March to see if someone's top catcher goes down and an opening is created. The Angels have a little wiggle room in terms of the luxury tax (Jeff Fletcher from the OC Register has them about $20MM shy of the threshold), but I'd imagine they want some space for in-season additions if necessary.

Well, I don't think the Astros are going to acquire Quintana (I'd bet on him opening the season in Chicago at this point), but if they do, I would think Fiers is the odd man out. He still very well could be out anyway, if Houston prefers to go Keuchel-McCullers-McHugh-Musgrove-Morton (that's a lot of M's)
His role probably depends on his own spring performance and that of Musgrove
Plus, as you mentioned, any further rotation additions. At which point I'd have to assume he's out.

As I always say, I don't like putting "odds" on moves as there's no real science behind that on my end. I'd expect him to open the year in a Twins jersey at this point, so greater than 50 percent, in my view.

Jose Quintana is one of the best pitchers in the American League and is controlled for four years at about 40ish percent of his open-market value. Bridich offering two years of a good outfielder and a reclamation project/former prospect would be flat-out insulting.

What do you think about a dodger trade for Rob Refsnyder?

I think if teams viewed Refsnyder as a viable starting second base option he'd either be starting for the Yankees or would've been traded by now. His glove doesn't hold up there. Refsnyder's probably a bench piece on a good team. That's not a bad thing, but I've never understood the obsession among Yankee fans with him. I'd imagine it's based on his Triple-A stats, but lots of guys have good Triple-A numbers. Doesn't mean they're Major Leaguers.

If the Rangers do unload Darvish at the deadline (assuming he's healthy, productive, etc) what would be a a realistic return?

Should the Cardinals/Rangers worry about Oh/Dyson pitching in the WBC with as many innings they tossed in '16? And should either team look at Greg Holland as backup?

Dyson threw fewer innings in 2016 than in 2015. Both would be logging innings during Spring Training anyway, as well. I mean, I'm sure they'll monitor their WBC workloads and maybe work in some extra rest early in the season if necessary, but it's probably not a massive concern.

As for Holland, I'd advocate just about any team in baseball signing him, as I don't think the cost is going to be exorbitant and the payoff almost certainly outweighs the risk. Texas and St. Louis are both reasonable landing spots.

Assuming Brewers as expected aren't contending in July, can you see them selling off still controllable starters like Nelson, Peralta and Anderson to make room for the likes of Hader, Lopez and Woodruff or will they just hope to get action for Garza?

I'm sure they'd love to move Garza, but at this point they could just designate him if they want the spot and he's not performing well. Peralta is controllable but doesn't seem like a vital long-term cog, especially not since he'd only have 2.5 years of control left at the juncture you're using.

If there's interest in Anderson and Nelson, I doubt Stearns would hesitate to move either one, barring some form of legitimate-looking breakout season.
