Who's your Game 6 Prediction tonight?
Steve Adams
4:11
Cubs tonight, Cleveland tomorrow. Sorry Chicago fans.
Neshek
4:11
So what would I net in a deal?
Steve Adams
4:12
Probably not that much -- how much more would he sign for in free agency? Maybe he gets 2/8 or 2/9 or something, but you could argue that he's overpaid even at 1/6.5. I'm not entirely convinced they find a taker.
Ed
4:12
Would Castro accept 2/16 to split time and potentially take over full time duties if/when D'Arnaud goes down?
Steve Adams
4:12
I don't think he'd sign anywhere that plans to use him in a part-time role ... he'll have offers to start from the get-go this winter.
JC
4:13
Think Joe Jimenez could be had if another team took on a majority of Anibal Sanchez contract from the tigers?
Steve Adams
4:13
Avila wants to get younger -- not slash payroll at all costs. Trading his best relief prospect just to save money doesn't help him build a young core.
Rich hill
4:13
How misch $ and years will I get
Steve Adams
4:13
Three years and more than $50 million. 2016 is a weird freaking year.
Edwin Encarnacion
4:14
Am I a good fit for the Red Sox?
Steve Adams
4:15
Definitely, but you're good fit for about 10 teams because you're the best hitter on the open market. Boston, Baltimore, Yankees, Blue Jays, Indians, White Sox, Mariners, Astros, Rockies, Phillies, even the Mets (if they move Duda).... Edwin works a lot of places.

Will MLBTR be interviewing potential first-round draftees again this year? Loved the interviews with Ray, Hansen, and Reed last year --- would love to see more!
Steve Adams
4:17
Probably next Spring, yeah. It's not a huge focus for us since we don't cover the draft at an exceptionally granular level, but we do like to do stuff like that when possible. Not sure if it'll be Chuck doing them again next year... I've done them in the past and they're a fun change of pace. You can read all of our ones from years past in the Draft Prospect Q&A tag... kind of fun to go back and see interviews with guys like Bradley Zimmer now that are top prospects or even further back to the Sonny Gray year:

Which Astro FA does Stearns go after, Valbuena or Castro or both?
Steve Adams
4:18
I dig Valbuena as a fit for Milwaukee.
I'm at work
4:18
Are opt out clauses the worst thing to ever happen to sports?
Steve Adams
4:19
Why? Because they let the players get richer and keep money out of the pockets of the poor owners?
Guest
4:19
Should the Angels keep Escobar at third next year? His defense is just terrible
Steve Adams
4:19
He stinks in the field but the bat makes up for it enough to pay him a pretty marginal $7MM.
Joey
4:20
Do you see the tigers getting their immediate right field replacement in a trade for Martinez?
Steve Adams
4:20
Nah -- could use it as a means of getting Steven Moya a look out there. He's out of options, as is Tyler Collins, so they both have to make the roster somehow.
Opt Out Q
4:21
If a player opts out, can they be issued a QO?
Steve Adams
4:21
Yes indeed. Cespedes will be getting hit with a QO when he opts out.
Jeff Briich
4:22
Cargo vs Blackmon, how big is the difference in returns?
Steve Adams
4:22
Blackmon actually nets the bigger return for me. Multiple years of control, cheaper, can play center field.
AJ
4:22
Could the Jays go after J.D. Martinez as a Bautista/Saunders/Encarnacion replacement?
Steve Adams
4:23
Sure but he doesn't give them the left-handed bat nor the speed that Atkins said they'll be seeking. And he's a free agent next year, so they'll just be looking for another corner replacement in 12 months. I love Fowler for the Jays and someone like Kendrys Morales as their DH.
Condor
4:23
Do I get 3/36 or something of the like?
Steve Adams
4:23
Condor being Michael Saunders -- I think so, but I'm the lone guy on the MLBTR staff who does, ha. Most of the team seems to think he's a two-year guy.
BAL-MIL
4:24
Ubaldo Jimenez and a 5-15 organizational prospect for Garza?
Steve Adams
4:24
I get wanting to shed Ubaldo, but the O's have no farm talent as it is... sending anyone with a half chance at being an MLB role player just to get Garza, who may not even be an upgrade, doesn't make sense when the two make comparable money.
MIN-MIL
4:25
Big Contract and prospect package: How about Milwaukee add Mauer? Maybe Garza or Carter return to MIN to offset cost a little. But MIL frees MIN of rough obligation in return for some talent from their deep system.
Steve Adams
4:26
Mauer has a full no-trade clause and isn't going to be leaving Minnesota.
NJ
4:26
Blackmon to OAK for Gray straight up?
Steve Adams
4:26
A's need cheap, longer-term assets if they're going to move Gray
Carl
4:26
What would it take to get Gardner from the Yanks?
Steve Adams
4:27
I can get behind a Gio Gonzalez/Brett Gardner framework -- some kind of comparably priced veteran arm that can reasonably be relied on for solid innings in the Yankees' rotation.
stosh
4:27
Regarding opt-outs in contracts, wouldn't be fair to let the team opt-out of the contact if the player wants an opt-out clause?
Steve Adams
4:27
What do you think club options are?
