I doubt the Rox love the notion of punting the #11 pick (top unprotected pick) for Trumbo. Honestly I don't know who the hell's going to pay him unless he ends up settling for a mediocre three-year deal.
Homers are nice, but Trumbo doesn't bring a ton to the table otherwise.

The Rays would have to be really, really sold on Soler's ability to bounce back and to stay healthy (which he's never really been able to do). Colome's value is enormous right now and Soler's stock is down.

Can reporters stop making up stories so they have something to write about? Give credit to sources who have said Cespedes and Mets are in serious talks and things can get done soon. Stop making stories out of nothing about Cespedes going to the Nats or Yankees.

Usually I try to find the silver lining, but that just seems like a bet on what Cashner was 2-3 years ago, and he very clearly wasn't that in 2016.
