More likely to switch teams in their careers, mike trout or Bryce Harper?
Steve Adams
3:30
Harper, I guess, just because of the Boras factor. Though Bryce has said he loves the idea of spending his career with one team, and the Lerner Family has a great relationship with Boras.

What's your favorite individual play to see, i.e. stealing home, walk off, etc?
Steve Adams
3:31
Inside the park homer or walk-off homer probably... love a good triple as well if it's someone like Buxton, Turner, etc. running. (Or if it's someone dirt-slow running, too, like Jim Thome)

3:32
Is Freddie Freeman the best first baseman in baseball?
Steve Adams
3:32
He's certainly up there... Votto, Goldschmidt, Rizzo all come to mind as competition for that honor, though.
Doug
3:32
One of my fondest baseball memories is watching Benji Molina labor out a triple for the Halos!
Steve Adams
3:33
I have a similar recollection of Mike Redmond (!!) legging one out for the Twins. Outstanding.

Kenny Williams takes over away game announcing so no one has to listen to Hawk. 2 birds
Steve Adams
3:33
Now you're thinking.

What's your favorite ballpark you've visited?
Steve Adams
3:35
I've still only been to 13 of the 30, unfortunately (slowly making my way through them), but I'm partial to AT&T. Deliberately got seats in the upper deck in right field, all the way at the end of the aisle. Looking out over the railing and basically staring straight down into the ocean was pretty remarkable. Good food, great views all around the park and a good atmosphere... definitely enjoyed it.

3:35
Do you think that Manny Machado will hit free agency? Or will the Orioles lock him up before he gets there?
Steve Adams
3:36
Free agency. At this point, he should be looking to top Stanton if the Orioles come asking about an extension.
Doug
3:37
Who's your AL MVP pick? NL? Trout? Betts? Bryant?
Steve Adams
3:37
Trout and Bryant. With all due respect to the will-be runners up (Betts, Seager, Donaldson, Altuve, etc.) I don't think it's especially close anymore.
Joey Votto
3:37
Think Joey Votto will be wearing pinstripes next year?
Steve Adams
3:38
I think he'll be wearing a Reds uniform since he has a full no-trade clause and has blatantly stated that he doesn't care if the Reds are rebuilding, he wants to stay there and help them return to contention.

3:39
Royals rotation next year: Duffy, Ventura, Kennedy, Vargas? and _______________?
Steve Adams
3:40
Sounds like they're really interested in keeping Volquez around for some reason, but I'd turn it over to Matt Strahm and look for an actual right fielder, some 'pen upgrades and a second baseman.
Obviously wouldn't hurt to add some rotation depth, but they'll still have Mike Minor and Chris Young... not that you can necessarily count on either.
Tyler
3:41
Wild card winners for al and nl? Who ya got?
Steve Adams
3:43
Mets, Giants, Blue Jays and...... just to be a little different, Mariners. (Plus their remaining schedule is pretty light, while the O's have three in Toronto plus three vs. Yankees, and the Tigers have to take on the Indians and a Braves team whose offense is really mashing right now).
Jackson
3:43
Would you say that this is the best season of Cano's career?
Steve Adams
3:44
If it's not his best it's one of his two or three best. But I'd say so yeah.
Chuck
3:44
The Braves said they are going after pitching this offseason and have a ton of money to spend. Would Rich Hill at 2-30 be a match since they have so many young prospects coming up soon?
Steve Adams
3:44
I don't think 2/30 is going to be enough to sign Rich Hill.
James Franco
3:45
Why not Ortiz for MVP? OPS, HR, 2B, K/BB ratio, RBI are all significantly higher than Trout.
Steve Adams
3:45
Because defense is a part of the game.
As is baserunning.
Ortiz isn't even the most valuable player on his own team. He's probably not the second-most valuable player on his own team. Maybe not even third.

3:46
2/30 should be enough with his dl problems
Steve Adams
3:47
There isn't a single top-of-the-rotation arm on the market this season, and Rich Hill has been just that for his past 150ish MLB innings. It'll be an overpay and a risk, but $40-50MM isn't much for MLB clubs. Hell, that's Ricky Nolasco/Matt Garza/Ubaldo Jimenez/Edwin Jackson money. If teams are willing to give $50MM to guys they consider, at best, third/fourth starters, why not do the same for a potential top-of-the-rotation arm, even if he comes with injury risk?
Michael
3:48
Reds will be a good team soon enough with that pitching right?
Steve Adams
3:49
Define "soon enough." In 2017? I don't think so. 2018-19? I can get on board with that timeline. But banking on a notion like, "Ohhh look at all these shiny pitching prospects" is dangerous, as the Mets have illustrated in 2016.
Tyler
3:50
Is Ryan Braun traded this winter? What teams are possible landing spots
Steve Adams
3:51
I think there's a chance he lands with the Dodgers, yeah. He has a no-trade clause that allows him to block deals anywhere but the Giants, Angels, Padres, Dodgers, D-backs and Marlins... Of those teams, I can really only picture the Giants and Dodgers making a serious rnu.

What´s wrong with Jarrod Dyson as starting RF/CF for the Royals next year?
Steve Adams
3:54
He's a career .225/.300/.275 hitter against left-handed pitching. I like him more in a fourth outfield role, personally, especially with some uncertainty surrounding Gordon following his down season. I'm all for speed/defense in the outfield -- especially a spacious one like Kauffman. But, if the Royals are looking to add value to the team and are taking an honest survey of the free-agent market, investing in the corner outfield is wiser than overpaying for yet another fourth/fifth starter type.
