@castrovince
Edwin Encarnacion's camp adamant that they're not in fire sale mode on E.E. Still expecting lucrative multiyear deal.

What kind of return does Evan Gattis get for Houston?
Jeffrey Todd
12:46
Not much. Same with Matt Adams/Cards. Just too limited on D and not quite enough bat.
Buddy
12:47
Is Robertson the next White Sox pitcher to get dealt?
Jeffrey Todd
12:47
Makes eminent sense.
Mark Grace's Designated Driver
12:47
Should the DBacks be sellers or is the trade for Walker exactly what they needed?
Jeffrey Todd
12:48
They don't have big veteran contracts to trade, except for Greinke and to some extent Tomas, so there's no reason to be just trading everything off the MLB roster.
@CSNHayes
now
#WhiteSox got strong interest from Boston, Washington and Houston all since yesterday. Packages all improved significantly.
So that's interesting. Astros, too.
Jeff's Sad Inner Child
12:50
Rockies need a first basemen and starting pitching. Lemahieu too good for cron and shoe?
Jeffrey Todd
12:51
But then they need a second baseman. And LAA would need SP. I could see DJ and Shoe having about equal value, but that doesn't mean there's a match.
Lucas Giolito
12:51
Has the shine come off of me completely? 6 months ago I was a future ace.
Jeffrey Todd
12:51
Not completely, but it's in need of buffing.
Mike
12:51
Tigers going to be active soon or was AL Avila just blowing smoke to see the market?
Jeffrey Todd
12:52
Seeing some suggestions they may not do much. Problem is they have no-trade clauses and lots of cash that gum up deals for most of their biggest players.
And maybe they don't end up trading JD Martinez if decent offers dont' materialize, because why punt on 2017 if you aren't getting something really interesting back?
Wayward
12:53
What signing/trade would really accelerate this market?
Jeffrey Todd
12:53
Ummmmm
this one should do
Andy Friedman
12:54
How much will I have to pay to get Tyson Ross?
Jeffrey Todd
12:54
Question is whether he'll be looking for/getting offers of one or two years. Or I guess even more.
One year, I don't see why teams wouldn't bet 6 or 8 or even 10 mil.
Mets
12:55
do you think Mets could get Matt Wieters, and is Matt Wieters better than Travis D'arnuad?
Jeffrey Todd
12:56
No suggestion of that, but sure, they could. Market hasn't been shaping up that well for him.
No reason to worry whether he's better -- you'd use both.
OL PERFESSER
12:56
Danny Duffy to the NYY?
Jeffrey Todd
12:56
They'd have to be one of the teams involved. Duffy is an underrated piece. Would draw strong interest.
Todd
12:57
Jansen 5yrs 85M?
Jeffrey Todd
12:57
Plus opt-out after year 2 or 3.
Benny Agbayani
12:58
Now that the Red Sox have Thornburg, any chance they'd consider trading Kimbrel?
Jeffrey Todd
12:58
That is not why they are doing all this.
Will Baker
12:58
How much could the Royals get for Hosmer? Could they dump him on an unsuspecting team for a mid-high level prospect?
Jeffrey Todd
12:58
Nope. Just one year of control, and he was kinda bad last year, and just isn't all that exciting as a hitter who plays 1B.
OL PERFESSER
12:59
Greinke is 1/2 the payroll!!
Jeffrey Todd
12:59
Right and he's hard to trade right now. I thought that contract was just wacky when they gave it out, doesn't look better now.
Caleb C

Which player, who declined the qualifying offer, will settle for a one year deal?
Jeffrey Todd
1:00
Bautista? Not saying he will, but it's not out of the question.

Reds update?
Jeffrey Todd

Might talk with Neftali Feliz!!!
