Ross's appearance was curious...
michael doran
9:24
We're going to write about Ross more this week, but doesn't anyone else think his appearance was superfluous?
9:25
William Hurt isn't the A-lister he once was, but still it was a pretty brief, not-all-that-necessary appearance.
George Marston
9:25
re: Thunderbolts, I think Zemo still has to pay off somehow.
michael doran
9:25
Newsarama's official position is he's still the mostly likely Skrull sleeper agent.
Bob

Imagine, wolverine stabbing Thanos. Cap with his proper adamantium /vibranium shield. MrFantasic working with Iron Man and Dr Strange.
michael doran
9:26
It'd be amazing, and would play to people like us, but might be a hard bridge to cross in one movie.
9:27
But Hugh Jackman being pulled from an alternate dimension by Doctor Strange would be something.
George Marston
9:28
The Russos did mention Secret Wars as a story that would be possible after Fox deal.
Joshua
9:28
What kind of earth-bound threats do you think exist on the scale of Thanos/Infinity War?
michael doran
9:29
I think it'd be complicated, but Dr. Doom would fit the bill. His rise to power?
Don Bagert
9:30
Is Captain Marvel currently outside of the universe?  If not, there's only a 50/50 chance that she didn't die at the end of Infinity War.
michael doran
9:31
That's a logical assumption. When we talked about Infinity War over the last few years at Newsarama we always assumed the Quantum Realm would be the backdoor something or someone was hidden from Thanos.
George Marston
9:31
Could connect to another universe entirely.
michael doran
9:32
And let's not forget, Doctor Strange saw the 1 in 14 million way to beat Thanos, and it involved keeping Tony alive.
So is Captain Marvel the key, is Tony the key?

9:33
Do we see Falcon becoming cap for solo movie series or bucky if they were to continue that line?
George Marston
9:34
Why not both?
michael doran
9:34
If I had to choose between the 2, I'd have to go with Falcon. Bucky has a pretty checkered past. We forgive those things easier in comic books. Might be a harder sell for movie audiences.

The only thing I didn't like that Marvel enjoys killing off their villains I don't think they used the dark order to their full capacity and their deaths were very underplayed
George Marston
9:35
They fought a whole Civil War over his crimes.
If we've accepted the possibility the Avengers and Guardians could come back, the Black Order are on the table too.
michael doran
9:37
Each death was a little abrupt, I'll give you that. I don't know if that was just a time necessity or if it was done on purpose to elevate thanos, who btw, had no less than 3 fake out or almost defeats - Gamora, the gang on Titan and Thor.
Don Bagert
9:37
Hmm...so maybe Ant-Man and the Wasp are currently in the Quantum Realm trying to rescue Janet Van Dyne, and Captain Marvel contacts them?
michael doran
9:38
Don, there's been some photos online suggesting Ant-man and Tony team-up in some manner or another in A4.

Safe assumption that lots (if not all) of the deaths by The Snap will be overturned. But will the deaths prior to The Snap be overturned?
George Marston
9:38
Today's teaser video for Ant-Man and the Wasp also spent a lot of time asking about their whereabouts in Infinity War
michael doran
9:39
Excellent question. It seems purposely of the earthbound heroes, the only survivors were heroes PRE-Battle of NY.
purposeful, sorry
George Marston
9:39
Well, I expect James Gunn was on set primarily to oversee Gamora's death scene, so it may be final.
9:40
Mike, it did seem like the only Avengers left standing were the original team. Not an accident...
michael doran
9:41
but we've talked about it before here on Newarama. Real life necessitates some of these now iconic actors have to move on. It seems whomever ultimately winds up with the Gauntlet (Tony?) would have a chance to undo anything.
restore Asgard?
bring Quicksilver back?
the opportunities are limitless.
Ironman sucks
9:42
They are all coming back. Can't believe people actually cried.
George Marston
9:42
A lot of folks don't read comic books. Superhero movies haven't made a huge habit if raising the dead yet.
