It's not THAT high leverage, about 1.45 LI it looks like using our WPA inquirer, but yeah, his postseason record ew

I will amend my statement: Pedro Baez being used in an elimination game is terrifying.

No argument there

I got used to the NL having a DH surprisingly quickly as well, given how odd a lot of the other rules changes have continued to feel

I will be 98 and ready for the sweet release of oblivion. Thanks for the heads-up.

Odd to see Buehler pulled with Markakis up, no? Markakis hasn't been close to hitting a ball off of Buehler in any of his ABs this series. Plus, it's not like facing one more hitter suddenly makes his blister worse
Ben Clemens

To be fair Nick Markakis has had trouble hitting ANYONE this postseason

The injury factor should be the determining thing when it comes to getting pitchers off the basepaths.

I just took the dog out and changed the baby's diaper, and it's the same plate appearance!  Baez is incredible

d'Arnaud fouled off seemingly 20 good pitches before finally striking out.

Is Jansen the right call for LAD in the ninth?

so this clayton kershaw commercial confuses me. isn't it celebrating him giving up a home run?

I don't really want to see pitchers hit any more now that most of them are so bad at it, but I also don't like players who can't field.  The union would never go for it, but I'd rather just see the 8 position players bat.

It's runs the multiples of 3 stuff MLB has!

Darren O'Day continuing to be right handed is baffling.

Do you think that all the former baseball players have a secret alliance to love bunting?
7:28
When the rubber hit the road when they were players
No one was bunting for a hit ANYWAY!
AvatarDan Szymborski

I think former baseball players think praising bunting makes you sound smart

Ian Snell played a whole career and has been retired for a decade but I would still swear he's a lefty

RE: Keeping pitchers healthy and off the base paths: We don't want another Koo Dae-Sung issue where he has a ball in his pocket and gets hurt sliding into home after running from second on a sac bunt.

A Rod played long enough to get shifted against, I'm pretty sure
