Philosophical question here: Isn't saying a player has "the intangibles" an oxymoron? Because you're measuring an unmeasurable trait(s)?
Eric A Longenhagen

I think it's fair to say some players see the ball better off the bat from one or the other. Like Carl Crawford was definitely fast enough to play CF but he just read balls better from left. But yeah, I don't think it's harder overall.

The Toddfather have another good year in him, seeing as he has a starting gig?

Man, Boyd might be the best player on the Tigers this year and he looked pretty average -- gonna be another long year in DET even though we're only playing 60 games.

That center vs left question is a surprisingly common belief. Some people think the slicing and spin in corner outfield spots make them tougher

in the reds game, you occasionally see grounds crew clapping in background. warms the heart

Jose Berrios had a rocky first and the White Sox picked up a run. 4-1

Austin Hays will become the first 2020 prospect to graduate rookie status in his next at-bat.

If the Blue Jays win it all this year, does it count as breaking Buffalo's Big 4 championship drought?
Eric A Longenhagen

Jeez, wouldn't that be ironic?

Man, the Twins are secretly (or maybe not so secretly) loaded. Offensively, anyway

The CLE home angle also makes it hard to judge lefties stuff properly. And if im honest probably accentuates my hype of Bieber

Thoughts on a Ramon Rosso who can apparently now touch 97?

LF is clearly harder because fewer guys perform well there!...what do you mean they put worse defenders there?...quiet voice of reason!

Cleveland actually threatening to score now. First and third, one out for Oscar Mercado facing Scott Barlow. Top of the order coming for Cleveland.

Why is Seth Lugo not a starting pitcher?
Eric A Longenhagen
8:48
Oh, is Rosso suddenly throwing hard? 97 is way up from last year.
AvatarDan Szymborski
8:49
Lugo's pitched significantly better as a reliever and the Mets are not an organization to take chances.
Trevor

What is the best case scenario for the Tigers this year?  See some development from Mize, etc. and pick up another top-3 draft pick?
Eric A Longenhagen

Rosso way 90-93, topped out at 95 last year

my dad think WAR and WRC+ are bogus because they’re just made up stats. The numbers in the formula are just made up. No matter how much I try to explain how they’re not, he doesn’t buy it and thinks I’m way to in love with the stats which makes me sad. :/
