I can't grasp the buy-low. How do you propose a buy-low trade that doesn't make you look like you're trying to swindle someone? Would a hot Chris Carter get me either Abreu or Votto? Do you have to prey on the lesser informed players? Would Conforto be too high an offer?

I can't imagine that would work with Carter. And no, Conforto isn't too high. He's more plausible, but likely still doesn't work. Those were 2nd-3rd rd guys. So maybe try a 7-10 round guy. Your last rd or waiver guy isn't gonna work
