No. And the fact that he was inactive third string guy all year is telling

Very impressive comeback by the Penguins last night against a pretty good Blues team. Is the expectation for this team rising?
Zeise
12:35
I suppose. It is January. I don’t start thinking about how good a hockey team is until like late February

Hi Paul, Quick Observation:  AB's ankle looked fine to me while he was running off the field shirtless..
Zeise
12:36
Ever notice how it is always someone else’s fault when AB blows a gasket. His apologists are embarrassing

Hay Paul.  Happy New Year!   Do you have any insight on the Steelers current evaluation of the available college QBs in the draft for 2022?  Howell, Pickett, Corral, etc.,   Do they think any of them is good enough to take #1 at their spot (17 or so)?
Zeise
12:37
I do not. I have read from “insiders” that they are high on Howell
Darnell
12:37
Hey Paul, what’s your opinion of college quarterbacks Coral, Ridder and Willis?  Do any of them fit the Steelers’ system?  Thanks.
Zeise
12:38
I like the Coral kid. He has a little Josh Allen in him and seems to be the kind of player Tomlin is looking for at the quarterback position

Hi Paul, Some people say 2022 is a re-building year for the Steelers. What is your recipe for skipping so called re-building in 2022?
Zeise
12:39
Build the offensive line more. Commit to an offense built around the run game. Fortify the defense
Mercury
12:39
Ryan Clark said with all due respect to Terry Bradshaw, Ben Roethlisberger is the greatest Steelers quarterback ever.  Do you agree?
Zeise
12:41
No, I do not. The Steelers for 50 years were the laughingstock of the NFL. Terry Bradshaw turned them into the NFL’s premier franchise. He was 4-0 in Super Bowls. I love Ben but I am going with the guy who has four rings
Paul
12:46
If Mason was the QB this year, do you think the steelers record would be any different? I love Ben, but he hasn't been good
Zeise
12:47
Nope. I think it would be similar. I bet their run game would be better

What Oline players will the Steelers pursue during the offseason to strengthen this unit? Please include any available possible free agents and  trades plus NFL draft picks. Your opinion is appreciated. Thanks
Zeise
12:47
Not sure but they need to add two - a tackle and a center

12:47
Hi Paul. Do you see the Pens doing anything to improve their backup goalie situation?
Zeise
12:47
If they don’t it is dereliction of duty
Mercury
12:48
You’ve often said you think Big Ben is a phony. Was there anything phony about Monday night?
Zeise
12:48
No I think it was genuine. I think getting to the end can make anyone reflect and become more humble and introspective
Dave
12:48
Do you think the Steelers will re-sign JuJu? I think they really missed him this year?
Zeise
12:49
I mean I suppose if he is willing to play for minimum wage, yes. But they need to upgrade receiver not add another ham and egger
Lou
12:51
Oops...sorry paul....what do you think of this plan:  start Mason, draft OL first round, second round draft DL, sign one FA of each of those.  That's for starters.
Zeise
12:51
I have no problem at all with a plan that involves a commitment to the run game

I loved Ben as a QB but he has been awful in the playoffs. Since 2011 15 touchdowns to 12 picks. He’s also lost fumbles and had one returned for a td against the jags. 7 turnovers in the last 2 playoff games. How come people put the playoff failures on Tomlin but don’t mention the QBs play?
Zeise
12:55
Narrative. That’s why. Ben fans blame Tomlin for all the failures. But they are in it together and neither has been good enough since 2010
Mercury
12:56
Do you buy any of AB’s explanation of what happened Sunday? He sure didn’t look like he had a bad ankle when he was doing jumping jacks shirtless across the end zone.
Zeise
12:57
No he is a clown show and the few people who still buy his act out there are clown shows too. The guy has brought all of this on himself.

I watched many games under Arians as our OC and I could predict which plays were coming next. The problem I have with Canada is I can predict the next play (most of times) even though this is his 1st year as OC. It seems like Canada's playbook is so limited. Since the Steelers will have a new QB next season, would you go with a new OC?
Zeise
12:58
I think Canada is limited because he has a quarterback who is extremely limited but wants to run his own show. I don’t think Canada is the right fit for the job but I would like to see him fall plays for a quarterback that fits and wants to run his offense
Tom
12:59
Do you think Ben would have won another championship if he would have bought into the run game more?
Zeise
12:59
I don’t know there are so many factors

Hi Paul, Norwood and WItherspoon had a good game.  Are they around next year?
Zeise
1:00
I actually think so on both accounts
Bernard

If K. Green is too small to play C in the NFL, does that preclude him from playing G as well?
Zeise
1:00
I don’t know that his size is the issue as much as his ability to snap the ball and engage in blocks

Hi Paul. Happy New Year!
Do you see the Steelers keeping Mason as starter and signing Line help to strengthen the offense? without having huge money tied up in the QB position they should be able to get some good free agents!
Zeise
1:02
I think they will explore a number of options at quarterback. I do believe they will sign a Marcus Mariota/Nick Foles/Mitch Trybisky    type guy and bring him in to compete with Rudolph. But I would say Rudolph has a 50 percent chance of being the starter
Jake

Steeler or not next year, Tuitt, Haden, Edmunds, Washington, Ebron, Spillane, Schobert, JuJu
