Does Tomlin give his veterans too many days off of practice? I’ve been with the same company for 20+ years and the older I get the more “practice” I need to stay fresh...especially when things start going south

Paul, things won't change with same head coach.. just look at the trajectory last few years, being favorite to Jax and losing badly then the last couple years letdown at the end and now this, no excuses we use to be strong in December for many years, now is becoming obvious, it's on the coach in my view, next year will be the same.. it's time to start anew, why wait? Even if that means rebuilding some.. your view? Thanks

I think firing him after a 12 win season would be a tough sell. I don’t mind giving him one more year to get it right

i think it is a great idea to make the move now on OC. Sit down with Ben and explain how it is going to be. He can decide if he wants to return under those conditions. Ben can still make the throws, but he needs a dominating run game to be effective. Commit to the run and watch how much better your quarterback can be.

Great response on the mailbag question  around need.  I feel like Pouncey and Decastro are serviceable.  Let Banner and Ok compete again at RT, Dotson at LG.  Either draft tackle or sign one and if they sign then take RB with first pick.  If we do that, let Juju and Dupree go,  and pay watt are we under the cap?

I admit the safety play was not good, but the bigger issue was linebackers trying to cover receivers. How are they going to fix that?

Well they are bringing Keith Butler back so they apparently don’t think they need to fix that! I mean again, when the head coach is the defensive coordinator for the most part, you aren’t changing the defense

Thanks for your article on Pitt basketball ten days ago.  It was full of interesting insights. Frankly, I had lost enthusiasm for Pitt basketball because their important games are never on public tv.  But your article revived my interest. It looks like Capel could become one of the great Pitt coaches..
