Chances that Pitt basketball loses all but one or two of its remaining games like it has for the past two or three years?
Zeise
1:48
I think they have nine left. Looking at their opponents they should win at least three if not four. If they finish 4-5 and that would be a much better finish than his first three years

Whats your handicap, Paul?
Zeise
1:49
I'm right around a 14 or 15. I play probably more like a 15-16 though. I just got serious two summers ago

If a baseball season was delayed by a month because of juvenile bickering over billions of dollars and nobody cared, would they play it anyway?
Zeise
1:50
Ha ha. Juvenile bickering is right. And nobody  will care if the problems with the system aren't fixed

Cooler first-time Super Bowl quarterback named Joe: Namath, Montana or Burrow?
Zeise
1:50
It has to be Namath - the original Joe Cool

Which coach of the past had the best or funniest or different personality?  Handshake Sam or Jerry Glanville for instance?  These coaches now are not as interesting.
Zeise

I loved Jerry Glanville. He was a character.

Paul, To me, the Olympic games, be it summer or winter, are as irrelevant as Premier League Soccer, Boxing, or Pirates baseball (MLB in general).  TV ratings dropped significantly for the summer Tokyo games from my understanding.  Is this COVID or a trend? What are your thoughts?
Zeise
1:55
I don't think anyone really cares about the Olympics. Really. They start tomorrow and nobody is talking about them

What is your prediction for who will have homefield fan advantage in the super bowl in Los Angeles and why don't they in LA ever support their football teams
Zeise
1:57
The Rams will have some advantage because it is their stadium and they don't have to break their routine. But the way tickets are distributed there won't be that big of an advantage in terms of crowd noise and support

Paul, all this talk about our head coach calling the defensive plays got me to thinking about New England.  If Belichick is the defensive genius that called the plays, why did his DC's (Crennel, Flores, Vrabel) cash in on head coaching jobs?
Zeise

I think that team had so much success that their guys were desired - players and coaches. Two of those three failed, by the way

Stafford isn't on the market yet but a guy I know in la told me mcvay likes that wofford kid and Stafford's contract is a montrosity. They need to cap room to keep Donald and Ramsey and miller
Zeise

Well that is true the Rams are going to have to be blown up so they better win this game coming up next week. But the Steelers won't take on that contract.

Thoughts on Jameis Winston being the next Steelers QB?

I wouldn't hate it because he would be cheap and wouldn't cost anything to sign

I was actually thinking of the spring league as an extension of the NFL season, not a minor league. The NFL would make more billions eventually. Plus, it would be another opportunity for minority coaches to display their talent on a big stage.
Zeise

People don't really like spring football in general. One football season per year is enough.

Paul, you hearing any chatter that our obsession with signing brother combos is kind of silly? I ask because we're thinking of trading up to select Cam's little brother. Close your eyes and just imagine the unforgettable family barbeques that could lead to?
Zeise
2:01
No, he is a fullback. They already have a brother act to fill that spot.
OK, let's do it again next week at the same time!!! Have a good week
