It will be interesting to see if his role changes at all. My guess is he was already heavily involved in the defense so not much will change
If there is baseball
12:27
Now that we know Trevor Bauer won't go to prison what happens to him? The Dodgers can't take the PR hit that would come with playing him, can they? Can any team? Would a small revenue team take him for a deal where the Dodgers pay most of his salary?
Zeise
12:29
I mean I would think since his legal troubles are behind him somebody would take a shot at him right? He seems to be a hard guy to like but he is a good pitcher and good pitching is way too hard find for teams to not take a shot at him

Paul, am I any less of a man because I like actual hockey as opposed to foolish goonery?
Zeise
12:30
Nope I love hockey and have always thought the goonery was stupid and took away from the game
IBefore we forget last season's NCAA football
12:30
If Penn State had kept Will Levis and let Sean Clifford go do you think their season would have been better, worse, or the same? I guess you have to exclude the Iowa and Illinois games from the comparison.
Zeise
12:32
It would have been about the same. Penn State’s success next year will be 100 percent based on the play of their quarterback
TB Twelve
12:32
Paul, any idea how I can be such a freaking football genius, and yet be basically an insincere dullard in real life?  Hot spouses aside, of course.
Zeise
12:32
It is the story of almost every superstar ever
Bernard
12:33
What entity is more corrupt, the IOC or FIFA?
Zeise
12:33
The IOC by far
Jay Daven
12:33
Paul, wouldn't Louis Riddick make a good GM for the Steelers?  He is someone from outside the bubble who still has ties to the 'burgh and seems to be young and innovative.
Zeise
12:35
Well he would be the smartest guy in the building, just ask him. I have no idea, other than he is a Pitt guy, why anyone would think this would be a good idea. Hunt has been working in football and evaluating talent and being involved in the draft process for the past decade. Riddick has been listening to himself talk on TV for most of the same time period
Boo hiss

Paul looking at the Olympic results including some of the sports we invented and one thing I've determined is WE STINK AT SPORTS. Why is a nation of 350 million people so bad at as many sports and countries the size of Dormont with a population the size of Blawnox just kick our butts ?
Zeise
12:36
Because the Winter Olympics is comprised of a bunch of sports we don’t play or care about on a competitive level here. A lot of people ski here - but they mostly do it with eight of their best friends and a couple of cases of beer at the lodge
Chase
12:37
Paul, I'm pretty sure that this is the case, but can you kindly confirm that there's still time for me?  I mean, I was not known as a doofus prior to meeting that bad (but jovial) seed JJSS.
Zeise
12:37
They used a high draft pick on you, they aren’t gonna kick you out into the street!!!
Just Here For the Commericals
12:37
Paul are you going to Amanda's Super Bowl party ? What are you bringing ?
Zeise
12:38
Ha ha, she told me she got a couple of cases of Ciroc to celebrate the halftime show!
Gene
12:38
Do you think with a mobile QB that Canada’s offense could flourish with the right type of weapons on offense?
Zeise
12:39
I think if the offensive line still stinks they could bring back Randall Cunningham in his prime and still stink
ev
12:39
Garapa-NO on Garapollo, yes?
Zeise
12:39
Absolutely not. You don’t pay that kind of money for a game manager
Phil
12:40
Paul, me and some buds from out east would like to discuss how your digital assets are possibly being misappropriated by your employer, to the tune of billions (OK, maybe hundreds and hundreds). Can you set up a foursome at Manor Valley in a few weeks and we'll chat.
Zeise
12:40
I can’t wait to get out to Manor Valley. I love that place. My home course. Vince and company do a great job there
Matt from LA
12:41
Does anyone, other than the people (e.g., Tomlin, Butler, Ben and Canada) directly involved actually know who is making what calls and how often? It seems to me that a lot of Steeler fans/experts seem to be privy to the field headgear during games, at least in their own minds?
Zeise
12:41
Well both Mike Tomlin and Keith Butler have said publicly that Tomlin calls the defenses so not much guesswork there
Kris L.
12:42
Paul, you are aware that I could have handled myself fine with that BM dude, correct? Have you seen my work-out videos? I'd like to see your vertical, jumping on a box repeatedly, with no apparent purpose.
Zeise
12:42
I’m quite happy you didn’t engage because you would have taken an L …..
Matt from LA
12:42
Since when did the offensive coach become so valuable? It seems like Steeler Nation thinks that bringing back Munchak is the key to another Super Bowl run?
Zeise
12:43
It is because the offensive line has been so bad and people are desperate for a reason to believe
The Ghost of Cliff Stoudt
12:43
Paul did you buy your Maulers gear yet ? Will you be handling that beat ?
Zeise
12:43
They are not even a Pittsburgh team
Amanda
12:44
Paul- Consider this your invite to my Super Bowl party. Please bring your famous Buffalo dip and a case of Natty Light. Oh and that Richie Walsh. I like his hair
Zeise
12:44
We don’t do Natty Ice …..
Mr. Bieniemy
12:45
Paul, why can't I get a HC job?
Zeise
12:47
Great question. I’ve seen many theories but it is becoming very troublesome. I know you have some things deep in your background that raise red flags but I can’t quite figure out why they are still being held against yiu

The Colbert hit rate on his last 10 first picks is 50 / 50 at best with only one star and some real duds like Jones and Burns. His hit rate on the previous 10 was closer to 80% with two hall of famers and others darn close like Heyward and no real duds. What changed? Certainty not their draft position. Did Tomlin get more say in the selection?
Zeise
12:48
Of course he did that’s the model for coaches / you get more power and more influence as you have more success

Over the cap has Ben counting $10M against the cap this year, $8M in 2023, $5M in 2024, and $3M in 2025. Is that right? I though once a player is retired all the cap hit is accelerated to the current year.
