I guess the fact it is Tomlin's team and his organization explains why the roster has deteriorated and they have gone 9 of the past 11 years without a single playoff win. Do the Rooneys not see what is happening or do they simply not care? Every year Art2 demands that the running game be improved and every year it gets worse. Most people would have been fired by now for consistently failing to take their boss seriously.

I think the more control he has gotten of the roster and the personnel decisions, the worse the roster has gotten. He made some good decisions with the coaching staff this offseason but the roster is still a mess

I often wonder - why would FSU pull the scholarship of Lance Harbor just because he got hurt? If he had a surgery and began rehab immediately he would be ready to roll by the next November - which means he could take a redshirt season and even be healthy to run the scout team for the final two months of his freshman season and then be ready for spring football going into his redshirt freshman season! This is an outrage by the way.

Last year the NFL was under very strict proticals and the NFLPA used that against the owners

I agree. And I will say this one more time - we have seen countless examples in the past two years of players and players associations being able to get what they want. It is the era of the “empowered” athlete so until I see the Steelers announce they are going up there, I will at least entertain the idea they might not

The last note on Varsity Blues - it is sad that the actors who played Billy Bob and Lance Harbor are both dead. Way too young!
