ACCN. Be careful what you wish for as they say. (My last rant, I hit send too soon)
Zeise
12:45
Well you will appreciate it when you have football games to watch in the fall

12:45
Should Colbert pay Minkah a ton to lock him up?
Zeise
12:45
I would not break the bank for Fitzpatrick. I would pay him and pay him as a star but I would not make him the highest paid safety in the league

Sounds like Flores big challenge in Miami was rubbing folks the wrong way (the GM, Tua, Stills, Minkah, etc) but he is a strong defensive coach.  Two questions - does that seem to be the MO for Belicheat disciples at their first gig, they think they've earned the right to be jerks b/c they worked for one (who has earned it)?  Two, as a position coach under a strong HC, is there any chance Flores could disrupt the locker room or alienate key players li

There definitely seems to be a theme among some of them - Matt Patricia was apparently I real hammerhead to deal with. Same with Joe Judge and Josh McDaniels. These guys don’t seem to understand that they have not earned the right to act like arrogant you know what’s like their former boss has. He has seven rings, they have zero

Why hasn't there been a push to get a stadium on campus for Pitt football?  It would benefit other athletics and especially boost student morale and school spirit.
Zeise
12:51
There have been talks within the athletic department and university at large at looking into the viability of making an on campus stadium work in recent months. It is something that has gone on behind closed doors and they are seriously looking into options in terms of locations, financing, traffic patterns etc. I do not know how far this has gotten but I do know Heather Lyke and company are committed to at least giving it a real serious look and studying it
All Your Fault
12:51
The MLB lockout is 100% Bob Nutting and Bob Nutting's fault alone. If he'd spend money on the team instead of embezzling billions form MLB, taxpayers and fans there wouldn't be a lockout. Bob Nutting has singlehandedly destroyed Baseball. Agree ?
Zeise
12:52
No. It is the system and it is the fact that most of the owners don’t actually care about baseball and baseball players concerns

Hi Paul.  What do you think that the Steelers would do (re: a QB for 2023) if Mason Rudolph threw for 3500 yards, 27 TDs, 12 Ints and went 11-6 and won his first playoff game?  Thanks.
Zeise
12:53
Sign him to an extension like they should

So Paul you played at Point Park and played W& J in Basketball during your career. You saw the story about the Football player holding the sign up at the Womens BB game. I went St Vincent and W&J's students have done same sort of thing when I was in school. Shouldn't the conference take some sort of action against the school for that sort of behavior ?
Zeise
12:55
I played at St Vincent, Geneva and Westminster when fans were extremely rude, obnoxious and at times racist. That was a few a knuckleheads. To punish the whole school or label the crowds as a problem because of a few knuckleheads is wrong. We have to stop this thing where we want to punish everyone for a few people being idiots. Kick out the knuckleheads and let the good fans enjoy the game

Pretty great draft by our Maulers eh Paul ?
Zeise
12:57
I refuse to acknowledge them until they actually play in Pittsburgh

12:58
Paul, now that Ben Simmons got his wish to get out of Philly, do you think he will have a successful career with Brooklyn?
Zeise
12:59
Nope not at all, well unless he commits to working on his game. He seems to be a guy who makes excuses and blames everyone else for why he hasn’t got better. He needs to grow up, stop blaming everyone else and work on his game. I don’t have high hopes he will

Hi Paul. Why is my name never mentioned when it comes to being a starting QB here? Well, the other 2 are no rocket scientists, let me tell you! I've seen them in The Film Room. Egads. Whew!                                     For now, I've been on The IPad helping Ben with his kid's homework when needed & keeping ready.

Hey the way things are going NASA might need you to help them revive Bush’s Nuclear bomb defense system program! And you have a much better chance of being a star in the field of rocket science than you do in the NFL!!

Hello Paul…do you think drafting Ridder in the second round is a viable option for the Steelers?  Thanks.
Zeise
1:06
No. I don’t think they will go QB in any other round but first or like 6th or 7th if they want to take a flyer on a guy

Paul, when or if baseball returns, will there be another pierogi flavor added to the 7th inning stretch?
Zeise
1:08
That is a good point it may be time for some new characters
OG Timothy
1:09
Ok Paul, since Jimmy G. Is getting shoulder surgery, would you trade a couple of mid and lower round picks for him?
Zeise
1:09
I wouldn’t trade a six pack of beer for Jimmy G. They already have Jimmy G. His name is Mason Rudolph
Scott

I fear that Tomlin will run roughshod over the new GM unless the person has a very strong personality. If they do hire somebody with conviction, will there be a power struggle ala Cowher vs. Donahoe?
Zeise
1:10
I got news for you - he has been large and in charge for at least the past 6-8 years. It is Tomlin’s team and Tomlin’s organization.

To those upset with the current status of Pitt basketball: I understand all the frustration with Capel and the Pitt basketball program, but my question is who would you get to replace him? Thank you.
Zeise
1:12
That question is not relevant. It is never relevant. The idea there aren’t lots of good coaches out there capable of doing the job is silly. The only relevant question is “do you think Jeff Capel is capable of getting the job done.” If the answer is yes, you move forward. If the answer is no, you fire him and move on

Paul, which is more dangerous: grizzly or polar bears?
Paul, apparently I have to have amazon prime to watch Thursday night football next year?
Zeise
1:15
Oh geez a double shot question again…. polar bears are bigger than grizzly bears and thus in my book they are more dangerous. And I am not sure if that is correct about Thursday Night Football but it can’t be long before the NFL figures out it can charge premium prices for its programming

Paul since there is no exhibition Baseball on TV what am I gonna watch on TV since Football is over ?

Don’t the Steelers already have a 1st round QB on their roster? Tomlin and Colbert said they had a 1st round grade on Rudolph when they waited until the 3rd round to take him. Isn’t another 1st round QB a wasted pick?
Zeise
1:17
I would say that is accurate. I just don’t know that any of the guys in this draft are difference makers and therefore I would not use a first round pick on them

I was impressed by the way Pitt and Coach Capel honored Coach K.  It was classy.  I also appreciated Coach K paying respect to Dick Groat and his kind words for Sam Clancy.  Your thoughts?
