Hi Paul, I think Steelers should trade up as far as 10 spots if necessary, to get Jordan Davis, DL, Georgia.  Generational talent, the Steelers desperately need!  If he is gone in Top 10, take the other Georgia DL, Wyatt at pick 20.  Second round/third round picks should go for best SS available and best WR available.  Appreciate your thoughts!  Thanks.

I don't think they should trade up to get anyone but a quarterback. I don't think any other position merits trading up in this draft given the steelers needs

Thinking of trying to resign with the Steelers. Think they'd want me back ?
Zeise

Ha ha ha ha ha. No. Absolutely not.

Hi Paul. I'm having lunch with Baker today. I'll let you & Pittsburgh know if I hear anything new ......

LOL. She is a great reporter so that is the only thing that gives me some pause that there may be a little bit of fire behind that smoke but not really.

Is the NHL still testing for Covid?
Zeise
12:50
No sports leagues are testing people who aren't sick. If someone has symptoms they are getting tested

Hello Paul, I see a lot of talk about Reynolds and the parsimonious Pirates.  Personally if I were a college or high school player and the Pirates wanted to draft me I would decline and wait for next year.  No way I want tied to an organization that has no plans for ever being competitive let alone getting to a championship.
Zeise

I agree, especially in baseball where they own your rights for like seven years

Your son Elijah giving the USFL a shot?
Zeise
12:56
Nah, he is done with football. He came back from his time with the Chargers and said "OK, I got to play in four NFL games, I'm good, time to start my life." He is using his degrees and working in the financial world. I am proud of him. A lot of guys chase the dream for way too long

Have you watched 10 part ACC championship history on ESPN. Episode 6 was fantastic.  Valvano mostly known for his cancer speech now was a hellva of a coach.
Zeise
12:57
Some of it but some of it has been very boring and it feels like it could have been done in a lot less time.

Why all the QB Pro Day visits from Tomlin? Subterfuge? He's not really taking a QB after signing Trubisky?
Zeise
12:58
He is looking for quarterbacks to draft. I believe if one of the guys high on their board is there at 20 the Steelers will take him. They have Trubisky to be the bridge guy, can have a guy like Malik Willis sit and learn for a year and be ready to roll next year

I can't wait for when Cutch comes back with the Brewers, and the video tribute the Pirates do for him. Maybe they can also give away Beach Towels and do fireworks that night. It'll sure to be a sellout!
Zeise
12:58
Ha ha ha. He has already had his video tribute hasn't he? There is no need for another one. And the Pirates should have signed him to play right field as a good will gesture to the fans

I am sick about the treatment of Reynolds.  I thought things had changed but obviously they are the same cheap Pirates.
Zeise
12:59
They have not. They are the same organization that doesn't want to spend money to get better.
PrinceBob

If I were Reynolds I absolutely would not sign with the Pirates. But I never really thought he would. I just never saw them doing a deal with a guy who'd cost what he would. Did you think he might get a long term deal?
Zeise
1:01
People were upset about the fact that Hayes rejected one of these deals like Polanco and McCutchen and Marte took. Why in the world would anyone want to deal a like that with the Pirates, especially if you aren't desperate for money. I would want to get to free agency as soon as possible

What is the best Nutting GIF?
Zeise

I haven't seen any, do you have some good ones?

Robot umps in MLB soon? What's your opinion on this, Paul? I say "thtttttt."
Zeise

I think it will be tough to implement them, we just don't have the technology quite yet. I could see it maybe within the next decade but not immediately

I don't like Cinderella stories post the first weekend either.  Probably puts us in the minority.
Zeise

I agree with you. One or two upsets early is fine but not more than that

Shahen Holloway would jump at the chance to coach Pitt and for less money than you would think, but Heather Lyke is gonna die on that Jeff Capel hill. SMH
Zeise

You think? I disagree. He has the Seton Hall job the minute his team gets knocked out of the tournament. And I am not sure Pitt right now is a better job than Seton Hall

Paul, you and your colleagues have a lot of exposure to the Pittsburgh sports fans. Will you please start a movement to keep people away from PNC park this season? Something along the lines of "Don't be a Nutt" meaning do not support Nutting. I want him to feel the embarrassment of not having one single fan in attendance.
Zeise
1:04
We do a lot of things in this business, the one thing we don't do is start movements among fans. We will leave that to all of you out there!!!
1:05
By the way - I had a Vegas sharp on my show last night and he said the most money coming in for this Sweet 16 is on Miami, so much that the line has moved a full 3 points. That's my betting tip of the day
OK, we are out of questions so it is time to say good bye. Let's do it again next week!!! Thanks for joining in
