Welcome back to the Thursday chat! Hope all of you are having a good week! Let’s get started!

So, Ben didn't wanna go out this year with a sour taste in his mouth. What's he gonna do after next season, which will (very likely) be much worse?
Zeise
12:07
I would say that he will have to come to grips with the fact that very few careers end like Peyton Manning’s, where he walks off the field after winning the Super Bowl saying “I am going to go have a few Budweiser’s....”
Jacque Strap
12:07
Fans are questioning all the Steeler front office moves, like every offseason. At what point should we all realize and accept that this season is just gonna suck?
Zeise
12:08
It doesn’t have to suck, it just probably isn’t going to be a Super Bowl season. This team can make the playoffs which means there will be some high points

Paul, I loved Bud Dupree's comments about his bittersweet Pitt exit and his memories of Heinz. His comments soften some of the disappointment about where the team finds itself at present. In your opinion, does a top tier RB change everything? Or, is this about getting younger/more physical? Or is this about regaining the 'eye of the tiger?
Zeise
12:11
They need a lot more than a stud running back. They do need that, though, and if they get one it still comes down to will the quarterback be willing to hand him the ball
Jerry
12:12
Hey Paul! I think the Steelers scheme on defense make the corners look bad a lot on defense. Because they will call a blitz and have the corners ten yards off their man giving the Qb a easy completion. Shouldn't they play tighter on a blitz to make it harder for the Qb?
Zeise
12:14
They do enough I think of mixing it up that the corners get help. It is hard to protect corners in today’s game, they are going to get exposed from time to time. The Steelers hope they can put enough pressure on the quarterback that the corners aren’t exposed

12:14
Will the COVID-19 attendance restrictions in MLB for the 2021 season create an even wider gap in team salary inequity?
Zeise
12:14
If nothing else it will be used as an excuse by some teams not to spend money
Elmo Plaskett
12:15
Would a work stoppage in Major League Baseball in 2022 be worthwhile for the Pirates, if a salary cap/floor was the result?
Zeise
12:16
Yes but there is zero chance of the owners agreeing to the revenue sharing that needs to take place for a salary cap to work and there is zero chance the players accept a salary cap. So a work stoppage won’t help the Pirates because very little will change

12:16
Will my 2 year old grandson be able to watch the Pittsburgh Pirates in Pittsburgh when he is an adult?
Zeise
12:17
I do think that because MLB values this market and there are about five or six other teams that are more likely to have to relocate
Mansfield Mounty
12:17
Which Frazier hits the most homeruns for the 2021 Pittsburgh Pirates?
Zeise
12:18
Great question - I will say Todd but both of them are likely to be traded if either of them have some success
Chewton Charlie
12:19
As of today, Rocker or Leiter?
Zeise
12:20
You know how it goes - they will pick one and he will have arm troubles and the other will be a stud! Ha. I have heard a lot more about Rocker for a lot longer so I’ll go with him
Jack Splat
12:20
Many problems with Steelers team composition currently, but biggest problem is Rothlesburger and Tomlin - Steelers will never win another playoff game with either one of them.
Zeise
12:21
That’s not exactly going out on a limb seeing as one is done this year and I’m not sure how much longer the other will be around.
JR
12:21
Coulibaly is not a loss. Wish him well however he was not the answer in post position. You agree?
Zeise
12:23
I think every player at Pitt with talent is a loss at this point. They could be looking at 8 open scholarships depending on what happens with the Hugley kid and Champagnie. You can’t turn over 8 players in one year and expect to compete in the ACC
Bring Back Hanratty
12:23
Hi Paul!  Do you think the Penguins will add a centreman for the final push?
Zeise
12:23
Yep. And I think they might add another forward as well. The injuries are piling up
Jeff
12:24
Thanks for the chats Zeus!  yeah I am one of the fans that had faith in the system...not so much anymore.  Why wait this long with Nelson and Ebron when there are no big free agents left?  We could have got a dominant center with those savings now we are all in with BJ?  or a third round pick?  Maybe even could have kept Hilton.  Do those things, draft OL and RB then i feel a little better.  Doesnt feel like all in, not sure what it feels like
Zeise
12:25
They are really trying to play the game from both sides of the fence “we are sort of rebuilding and sort of going for it!” I feel like Neal Huntington is running the show. This has not been a good offseason for the Steelers
LA Matt
12:25
Another week, another deflection from the Pitt hoop team! Will it ever end? What is going on over there? How can Capel keep losing entire recruiting classes and maintain his status? It is one thing to lose other coaches' recruits, but your own?
Zeise
12:26
Well, again, he is starting over essentially and now it will be year 4. That makes it much, much tougher to sell the idea that “we are gonna they’re this around now that I’m here!!”
LA Matt
12:26
Not sure that bringing back old, discarded Steeler retreads (Finney, James, etc.)  in NFL free agency is the way to build a Super Bowl contender? Loyalty is one thing, but stupidity is another!
Zeise
12:29
It isn’t even loyalty - those were just cheap options who they are familiar with. If B.J. Finney is your starting center and his backup is JC Flassenhauser or whatever the hell his name is, you aren’t serious about trying to win the Super Bowl
Cresson PA is Panther Country
12:29
Any thoughts on more upsets in the Sweet 16 and Elite 8 rounds? I love the way Loyola plays. They run great quick hitters on offense and defend exceptionally well.
Zeise
12:30
There aren’t generally many upsets in the Sweet 16 and I am not sure at this point anyone can really call Loyola winning an upset. That team is really good
LA Matt
12:30
Although I agree with the consensus that a good offensive line can make an average back look good, can't a good back make an average line look better also?
Zeise
12:31
On some level, yes, but not nearly enough to carry an offense. If you have a competent line, a stud running back can make them look dominant
Guest
12:31
Rb in the first rd. Book it. Javonte Williams.
Zeise
12:32
I would be OK with that, I think he is really good.
Tbone
12:32
seems like trading down sounds like more and more sense for the steelers,  they cant fill all the holes they have in just 7 or 8 picks,  what do you think?
Zeise
12:36
I don’t know - it depends on what is there on the board when they pick. If there isn’t a tackle and a running back there worth taking I would say that is probably the route to go
Steeltown
12:36
Hey Paul, what do you think the chances are of Gaudreau sticking around as a center of the fourth line? He looks like a play maker and has been very noticeable thus far.
