Welcome back! Let’s get started right!!! Fire away with the questions!
V. Fontaine

What do you think is next for Sean Miller? Do you see him ever coaching again?  And no, I'm not suggesting that Pitt should fire Jeff Capel and hire Miller. I'm a fan of Coach Capel and think he will eventually get things turned around?
Zeise
12:08
He will coach again, he is too good of a coach not to get another job. I could actually see him even jumping to the NBA in the right situation. It is hilarious - the cheating didn’t get him fired, the not winning enough did. College basketball in a nutshell

Hi Paul.  Do you think the Penguins can turn around their poor play of the last two games just by playing the right way?  I sure hope so, but it does sound a little bit like the "we can turn it on for the playoffs" line we have heard before.  Thanks.
Zeise
12:10
Yes I think they played so well for so long it was hard to continue at that pace with their injuries. You knew at some point it was going to come apart. But they are getting healthy now and they will bounce back quickly

12:10
The Penguins are interested in a bottom six physical forward.  What would you give up to get one?  Thanks.
Zeise
12:11
Not much. Maybe a defenseman that I consider expendable or a couple of later draft picks but no need to go overboard. This team is about as good as it will be
Bring Back Hanratty
12:12
Paul, would you leave McCann on the 1st power play unit when Malkin comes back?  If so, who gets bumped?
Zeise
12:13
No Malkin would be on the first power play unit and then move McCann to the second unit
V. Fontaine
12:13
Should the Pirates just DFA Gregory Polanco and give him his unconditional release? They're never going to be able to trade him. I just assume see them play Dustin Fowler every day to see if he can be a legitimate major league player or bring up Jared Oliva and give him a shot.
Zeise
12:14
No they need to try and get something out of him before they do that. Of it keeps going like this at some point, yes they will have to send him packing but not quite yet

Hi Paul, not looking for any private details, but I know you have a good relationship with Tunch Ilkin -- how is he doing? Listening to some of the games last year, it felt like Wolf had to finish a lot of Tunch's thoughts. I love the guy and have really enjoyed listening to him over the years, I hope he can continue for as long as possible.
Zeise
12:15
Out of respect for his privacy I have not asked him about his health. He is a strong man, a man of faith and the best we can all do is pray for him and support him like he supported so many others
Jdub
12:15
Paul,  since JuJu is signed to relatively cap friendly deal, how about we trade him for early third round pick and get another player in a “need” area not addressed in the first two rounds.
Zeise
12:16
I think we saw what JuJu value is at this point to other teams and I can’t imagine the Steelers would get much of anything for him
Jimmie
12:16
Why do you think GMJR left the Pens? What is he doing now?Was he the greatest Pens GM? What were his best and worst trades?
Zeise
12:19
I think he is the greatest GM in Pens history because he wasn’t afraid to break the mold and whatever it took to help the Sidney Crosby/Malkin era become in the conversation as a dynasty. He did a great job of reviving the team and pushing them over the top. He resigned for a variety of reasons and he is under contract until like August so he is counting down the days until he is a free agent and can go get another job in hockey
Jdub
12:21
Paul, the true left tackles with a Rd1 grade probably aren’t available at 24 and the Steelers have Banner signed at right tackle, so I say trade down and get a extra third round pick and go: center, second rung LT, CB, ILB with the 4 picks. A top notch running back will not pay dividends this year without upgrades at LT and C.
Zeise
12:21
I say stay where they are and get a running back. But I do agree this draft needs to be heavy on offensive linemen

12:22
hope you're well...five all-time favorite NBA players?...going Magic, Maravich, JKidd, Answer, and Dream...thanks
Zeise
12:23
Favorites? Jordan, Dr J, Magic, Shaq and King Rex Chapman!
And al
12:24
Wait, I actually forgot my favorite - Allen Iverson!!!

Hi, Paul!  I’m still struggling over the Pirates’ opening day failing-to-tag-up base running blunder. Shouldn’t the 3rd base coach be reminding players of the situation?  They shouldn’t have to, but there’s no downside in doing so.  Shouldn’t the coach share some of the blame?
Zeise
12:25
If we are going to go over every base running error this team makes. It is going to be a long, long chat. And yes it is as much on the coaches as the players but this has become absurd in terms of the number of base running black blunders the Pirates make

Hello, Big Ben seemed "soft" last year when being pressured. He in no way shape or form was going to take a hit if he didn't have to. (The exact opposite of the way he played earlier in his career) So that's why the 5 yard passes happened over and over in my opinion. He also can't through down the field effectively anymore. I know they are "stuck" with him because of his "bad" contract but do you think they should have just moved on from him?
Zeise
12:27
Les, where you been? I’ve been saying they should have moved on from Ben for three years! I told people three years ago that signing him to that extension was a mistake and that they were chasing ghosts anr he would never leave them anywhere. Three years and zero playoff wins later....

Hi Paul.  Do you think the Steelers may be interested in drafting Trey Sermon in the second or third round if Harris, Etienne and Williams are gone before then?  Thanks.
Zeise
12:32
I don’t see why not. He is a good player and most analysts have him as a 4th to 6th rounder depending on who you believe. He. Could be a later round pick if they don’t get one of their running backs early

12:32
Hi Paul. First, I commend you on your common sense viewpoint about MLB's virtue signal of moving the All-Star Game. I imagine you got lit up on social media for that. Second: Have you ever seen a hockey team more fragile than the Penguins?
Zeise
12:34
I think part of the Pens issue is they aren’t one of the biggest or heaviest teams out there and they get banged around a lot
Darnell
12:34
Hey Paul, who’s your pick to win the Masters?  Do you have a sleeper?
Zeise
12:35
I like Dustin Johnson for obvious reasons. My sleeper is Sungjae Im
TP Hunter
12:35
I think for Polanco's own good the Pirates should DFA him ASAP. This is like watching bad comic book stuff.
Zeise
12:36
He has been awful - but the Pirates are hoping to get something out of him and maybe he will have one of those months where he goes crazy
Scuttlebutt
12:36
Why play Polanco at all?  I'd give Evans or a AAA player a chance to play RF.  Play the best players you have.  Then, people may start to believe that Pirates management cares.
Zeise
12:37
I don’t think they have any obvious replacement. And he is getting paid a lot of money and they are going to keep running him out thete
Jason
12:37
Hi Paul, enjoy the chats.  As of now, who do see the Pirates drafting with the first pick, Rocker or Leiter?  Thanks.
Zeise
12:38
The cynic in me says they will pick one and the other will he a Hall of Famer. It seems like Rocker has been on the radar for longer so let’s go with him!

You find it ironic that MLB pulls the ASG for racism reason from Georgia but let a notorious racist and anti Semite like Bob Nutting own a team ?
