On the golf course, what is the shot you lament more: slicing the tee shot or yakking the 4-foot putt?

Definitely the Putt. I’m good enough now that I can recover from a bad tee shot - case in point the other day at Cedarbrook I hit a drive that I duck hooked into a tree trunk and came straight back to me so it was like a 60-yard drive. I pulled out the 4-iron and hit a dime like 225 to within a short chip to the green. I pulled out the wedge, and did a little punch shot type of thing that rolled to within 5 feet. So now despite a horrible tee shot, I’m putting for par.... I missed it and that is irritating as hell. There is no recovery from a missed putt

Yes from what I understand there was more going on than just the one incident. If he comes back and Justin Champagnie comes back they all of the sudden look like a much better team

Hey Paul.  While I am a HUGE DUKE fan, I would like to give a shout out to Coach Williams of the lowly tar heels.  He has a great coaching record and is highly respected in the basketball world.  I think the trend of one and done and so many college players entering the transfer portal probably was a major factor in his decision.  I think you will see a number of coaches retire or quit for the same reasons.

A day at a baseball game is better than anything else. Well except a day on the golf course. People always ask me “would you rather have a free ticket to the World Series or Super Bowl or play Oakmont for free?” I don’t even think that is a question - I’m playing Oakmont every time

I know that hope springs eternal but I just cannot imagine how you think the Pirates can ever get anything for Polanco. Even if he were to somehow go on a tear (which he won’t) no one is going to believe he has turned things around long term. What GM out there do you see ignoring a couple years of evidence and betting on any kind of performance?

I don’t mean in a trade. I mean he is one of the few guys they have that can hit the ball out of the ballpark - and he has been prone to get hot for a month or whatever
