Paul, do you think Pickett will be selected early in the evening, or will he have to wait til the midnight hour?
Zeise
12:31
I think he will be off the board before the Steelers pick, so he will not have to wait until the midnight hour
Grne
12:32
Do you think the Steelers add to their running game or just go with what they have? Also I know Harris is a stud but he needs more breathers so he is healthy.
Zeise
12:33
It won’t shock me if in the middle rounds they take a backup running back. They have to know Snell is not good enough

Three points: (1) I think that the Brian Reynolds situation was stages to make BN look good. (2) BR contract makes him much easier to trade. (3) K Hayes's contract makes him easier to trade after the 1st couple of years. PS Bob Nutting is cheap and won't change!
Zeise
12:35
I would agree with points 2 and 3. I would say 1 is a stretch because I don’t know in the end he looked good

Do you see any MLB teams moving to another city in the foreseeable future? Oakland? Tampa? You don't need fans in the stadium to make money anymore.
Zeise
12:36
I think Tampa is a candidate but I don’t think MLB is going to allow it to happen because it is bad for business
Mercury
12:36
Are you, like me, tired of hearing about everyone’s “journey”?
Zeise
12:37
I’m not sure what that means but I do get tired hearing about how hard guys worked to get to where they are. You don’t get to that level without hard work and overcoming obstacles

12:37
As to whether, or not, Letang comes back.......his agent is now the GM of the Canadians and Montreal is his home town.
Zeise
12:38
I think the Pens would like to sign him and keep him. Now if he breaks the bank elsewhere that is a different story

12:39
Pauley, did I interview the whole planet to get as many external opinions on first round CB talent as possible?  I like my guys, but they are forbidden from thinking secondary in round 1, for obvious reasons.
Zeise
12:39
I mean it isn’t just the first round they have to fumbled on defensive backs!
kevin in Punxsy
12:39
BB player who left Kentucky via the portal and had talks with Pitt, yesterday said he was going back to Kentucky for one more year......where he will make $2 mil for the year.  WTF?????
Zeise
12:40
As I’ve said many times, the world of college Athletics has changed forever.

12:40
Chances the Penguins get out of the first round of the playoffs, or is our goalie situation going to again disappoint?
Zeise
12:41
The goalie situation is merely the easy excuse. I don’t think they are getting out not the first round because they aren’t good enough
Wayward
12:41
Interesting, what would the return be for a Johnson trade?
Zeise
12:42
I think you could get a first or second round pick out of him probably. If you did a sign and trade type thing definitely a first rounder
jb
12:42
Should the stillers be in the mix for Deebo?  He would add a quality WR to the mix.....
Zeise
12:44
They should be in the mix for every good player. The key would be to sign the guys whose contracts make sense
kevin in Punxsy
12:44
Paul, you posted, earlier, that the Steelers 1st 3 picks in the draft would be: OL, OL, WR.  DL would definitely be one of those!!!!!
Zeise
12:44
No I was asked if was the GM what I would pick. And that was my answer
Chief Powhatan
12:45
Is there an college basketball players you're really interested in to see where he goes in the NBA draft?
Zeise
12:46
I was gonna say Oscar from Kentucky but apparently John Calipari’s legal bag men pay more than the NBA and the kid is going back to school!!!
LetsGoPens
12:46
Are the Penguins doomed if they have to play the Panthers in the first round?
Zeise
12:47
It isn’t just the Panthers. I just don’t think they are good enough to win four games against really good teams
Steelers Fan
12:47
Hey Paul....what are your thoughts on Deebo Samuel?  What do you think the Steelers would be willing to give up to acquire him?  Is it a possibility for the hometown team?
Zeise
12:48
He would really help but the cost to get him is going to be astronomical
Disaster
12:48
The Pirates truly are without talent anywhere. Lets not kid ourselves into thinking they have any. They never finish above .500 in any living beings lifetime. Agreed ?
Zeise
12:49
I disagree with that. We may never see a World Series or even a Division title in our lives but we will see another wild care or two
ev
12:49
Paul, instead of a pick, they traded it for the Bus...
Zeise
12:49
Right but that isn’t a pick!!
Jennifer Beals
12:50
Do you think when the Maulers start playing in Pittsburgh they bring back the Flashdancers ?
Zeise
12:50
First, when there is nothing but a slow glowing dream….
Terrell
12:51
Pauley, just wondering, you ever go back to a chick that clearly did not really dig you or your upside, but could not do any better herself?  If so, any thoughts?
Zeise
12:51
Heck that’s the story of my life!!
epiballo
12:51
Forget my previous question - you already answered it. Okay, what are the chances the Pirates are within 5 games of .500 at the end of the season?
Zeise
12:52
To quote Mike Tomlin “you never say never, but, never….” They won’t win 70 games
