Hi Paul. Can you name a dumber controversy in Pgh sports history than Big Ben getting a haircut?

Sidney Crosby skipping in line at the DMV

If you had to start an NBA team and could pick any player that has ever played, then who would you pick?  Assume they are at their prime and rules are as currently established.  (That would probably rule out George Miken, but its up to you.)
Zeise
12:53
Simple - Michael Jordan. If I had the second pick Wilt Chamberlain and if I had the third pick Magic Johnson and if I had the fourth pick Lebron James

If the Ravens were to release Fort would the Steelers have any interest? He knows the defense and would probably be cheap.
Zeise
12:54
Probably because he also fills a position of need
Need meaning - they don’t have much depth there

Have a question about Clapool’s speed.  Sounds like he’s a burner but the highlights I’ve seen on him he looks more like a possession receiver.  What role do you think the Steelers have in mind for him?  Thanks for the chats!
Zeise
12:55
Sounds like they will use him almost like a hybrid tight end and in the slot. His speed makes him a tough matchup for linebackers

I rewatched the Steelers/Ravens game last night with Duck playing After Rudolph went out and we should’ve beaten them.  If Ben is even just a shell of his former self, the Ravens can be had... just a statement,

When the ravens played at Heinz field last year Lamar Jackson was sacked 5 times and had 3 interceptions. With this defense coming + BR7 + more receiving power . Would it be safe for the Steelers to cancel turkey on thanksgiving and order RAVEN for dinner
Zeise

Wow people are sleeping on the Ravens. I will be shocked - if Jackson is healthy for both games - if the Ravens don’t sweep the Steelers. I just think they are much better

I am hoping Pitt’s football and basketball teams will be able to play this year.  Both programs seem to be on the upswing especially in recruiting.  Any idea if/when their respective seasons may start?  Thanks.
Zeise

I think football and basketball will both start on time, especially basketball. And I agree both programs are on the rise

I watched a replay of Steelers-Ravens from 2017 at Heinz Field last night. I’ve never paid attention to how much the crowd is featured as part of the broadcast. I mean, it’s always been included as part of the story,
12:58
but I’m not sure if the quality is going to be the same without fans. What do you think?
Zeise
12:58
I think we will get used to watching games without fans pretty quickly. And maybe they will do things to make the atmosphere better via the Jumbotron and the broadcasts too

Wouldn’t signing Newton create a QB controversy?
Zeise
12:59
No. There is no question Ben Roethlisberger will be the starter

Hey Paul...did you watch the Last Dance on Espn?  While GM Jerry Krause did little if anything to endear himself to the players and fans, I think he should get more credit for the players he drafted and the moves he made to develop the championship teams. Also, would it have possible for Pippen’s salary to be restructured back then?  I think that would have solved a lot of problems.

No question. He did a great job of building a dynasty. The thing is it helped that he inherited Michael Jordan and once Jordan was gone, well Krause was a lot less of a genius
That’s about it for me, hope you all have a great week and let’s do it again next Thursday
