Here we go
Jock Sutherland

A few quotes from golfers on LIV tour mention that golf needed a change and the new tour is good for golf.
I see how it is good for golfers.  We all want to get paid a lot more to work less and not have to worry about results.    But don’t see how it makes game or any better?
Zeise
12:05
The same way free agency changed traditional sports leagues. Athletes with options force leagues with antiquated ways of doing business - and splitting the money - to do things differently. The PGA has for too long been a monopoly

12:05
Also Shotgun starts, fine for early rounds but don’t see how fair at end of tounrey
Zeise
12:06
You have to play 18 holes no matter what

Hi Paul, I am encouraged to see the Pirates playing the kids.  When do they get rid of all these journeymen from opening day (Van Meter, Newman, Tsutsuogo)?  I doubt anyone will trade for these guys (maybe Newman) so there is no point to keep them, right?
Zeise
12:16
They need to move on from those veteran guys. They are keeping them around because they do give them a chance to win a few games but I don't think they are valuable at all
Dr Bobby
12:16
Hey Paul. love the chats, honestly what is the hold up with ONeil Cruz being called up, the young bunch is doing very well, love the outlook going forward...
Zeise
12:16
I am quite sure he will magically be "ready" the day after his super 2 status and service time stuff is passed. You know it, I know it
Cole Tucker
12:17
Hiya again Paul. Hey brah, I haven't been out in the desert in awhile. I'm sure you had a 'fro like mine back in the day. What kind of hair conditioner should I be using?
Zeise
12:17
You should get a military hair cut, it is hot out there and all that hair will make it miserable!
Big John
12:18
What's the deal with those safety practice helmets? Are they that ugly in watching practice?
Zeise
12:18
The theory is that they will cut down on the little bumps and bruises of training camp and therefore preserve guys career a little bit. All of those bumps in training camp add up, like jabs in a boxing match
Amanda
12:20
So me and my hubby will be pressing chargers. We gave you and Ricky Walls more than enough chances to stop drinking and promoting alcohol on your show. The cops will be there next time you and Wallsy hit the air. Its over paul
Zeise
12:20
Ha ha ha - have another drink

Should the Steelers pay Johnson 20 mil per year for an extension? He is probably right now their best receiver but I think that amount is reserved for the top 5 WR's which he is not. I would say 15 mil at the most per year. What do you think the Steelers should pay him in light of the draft choices and Claypool on the roster?
Zeise
12:26
The market for Johnson is easily $20 million. If the Steelers believe that George Pickens and Chase Claypool can be the big-time receivers they need, they shouldn't pay Johnson. If they don't think those two are ready for prime time they should

12:26
After watching Canada's offense last year, I am terrified we will see more of the same dink and dunk offense this upcoming year. Do you have any confidence in his offense? I do not.
Zeise
12:27
I don't think we will. The QB this year will be mobile and can throw the ball deep. It opens the playbook up completely
Sunner in Orlando
12:27
Any rumors to the possible extensions for Letang and Malkin?
Zeise
12:30
No. And I only expect one to get a deal
Kenny Chesney
12:30
Heya Paul. Y'all comin' to my concert Saturday?
Zeise
12:30
No I will just throw trash in my driveway and drink a bunch of beer and call it a day

Why does our society applaud hiring Brady, Brees, Aikman, etc...to huge broadcasting contracts when they have already won the lottery during their playing career? Doesn't Joe Schmoe with a broadcast journalism degree deserve a shot at making some bank? Heck, make it Joe Schmoe with a broadcasting degree who played football for four years at Duquesne and the practice squad for a season if we need playing experience for validity.... But scheezts-louise - talk about double dipping... I want Gen X to earn as much loot as the Boomers did when their careers end (Hi Terry, Dan, Boomer, Howie, Michael), but when does our society say "thank you winning the lottery, entertaining us and working hard. Please allow some else a chance to purchase a ticket to do the same? Life ain't fair. I know. But as someone in a union that-funny enough-these broadcast jobs fall under(and encourages kids to work and gives 99% of the money to 1% of the members) aka SAG/AFTRA, I just think the NFL players association would do more to help.
Zeise
12:31
It is called demand. Joe Schmoe is a nobody, these superstars have name brand
The Green
12:31
And as I've broached the topic of the NBA, do you still think Golden State wins, as I'm pretty sure you said in an earlier chat?
Zeise
12:32
I have to stick with my original pick so yes. But Boston has played really well
ev
12:32
Paul, Whose performance will be scrutinized more this year:  Canada's offense or Devin Bush's play?
Zeise
12:32
Definitely Canada
Lou T
12:32
Any Penguins news to report?
Zeise
12:32
Nah, it won't probably happen until around the draft
Mercury
12:32
Should guys like Newman and Tsutsugo see anymore playing time this year?
Zeise
12:33
No, as I said, absolutely not. Why? They are wasting at bats
Not really a golfer myself
12:33
If you were a pro golfer would you consider playing in the LIV Tour? Would the ban on players who do that the PGA announced influence you?
Zeise
12:36
If they offered me $200 million win or lose? Hell yes
Doug Frobel Fan Club
12:36
I think the PGA Tour is taking the wrong approach with the LIV Tour. The PGA Tour should simply cut a deal that would allow guys to play both. You structure the agreement so that the LIV agrees to a limited schedule, does not have events on current PGA Tour stops, doesn't have events on the same weekend as larger events like The Memorial, The Palmer, The Players Championship, etc. It's a win-win for the fans and the players.
Zeise
12:36
Of course they should. They are being emotional and petty and not seeing the big pictture. This makes the PGA look bad and it isn't helping them keep their tour on top
Mitch T
12:36
Hi Paul. Who stood out at Mini-Camp? Me?
Zeise
12:37
From what I am told, unquestionably the best quarterback in Steelers camp/OTA has been Trubisky. And Rudolph has been second

Hi Paul. Do you feel the Pirates are changing for the good under Cherington's leadership?  The supply and steady call up of the rookies, the impact they are beginning to make and the improvement we are starting to see at the MLB level seems to strongly suggest they are moving in the right direction with arrows up.  What say you?
