Think about all the guys they have held onto over the years that turned into nothing. That is pretty amazing that people still don't understand - prospects aren't star players

Paul, if I was paid a million dollar plus guaranteed bonus for my job and decided to retire, I would say it was pretty smart move, even without a Notre Dame diploma,,..
Zeise
1:06
But you could have been paid a lot more had you decided to play

Hi Paul. With all this stuff going on with Deshaun, it makes my Baker seem like a choirboy, right?. My sources say Seattle might be interested in Baker now only if they cut him.
Zeise
1:16
The Browns should really try and kiss and make up with Baker Mayfield
They are gonna need him
Benson DuBois
1:17
Would you be shocked if '22 is a "redshirt" year for Pickett?
Zeise
1:17
It won't shock me if he is the backup for the next two years. I think Trubisky will be OK and if he is OK the Steelers will stick with him

comes back to my original question.  I get how it is good for the golfers and I don’t blame them for jumping as you stated and agreed earlier.  But how does this help the game of golf as they keep using as one of their talking points.
Zeise
1:18
Because there are more options. Because there are more opportunities. It is a global game and this will help grow the game globally

Do you think the avalanche will win the cup? Love your show!
Zeise
1:18
Yes, they are really good and playing at a really high level. I do think both Eastern teams have goalies capable of stealing the series but I doubt that will happen
Guest
1:18
so with that logic every major top sport should have multiple leagues
Zeise
1:19
If there is someone capable of funding alternative leagues and entice the best players, then yeah, why not?

First time on chat, just want to say that I like your show the best
Zeise
1:19
Thanks, I try to entertain!!

Who are the favorite to win the cup in your opinion
Zeise
1:19
Colorado. They are really scary good at times

Do you think the NBA season and playoffs go on too long? I've been a Celtic fan for decades and love that they're in the finals. But it's almost anti climactic to me and I think it's because the season has gone on forever. I can't imagine following the finals closely unless a team I really like is playing.
Zeise
1:26
I think all leagues are going on too long with their seasons. I would like to see them all curt it back a little bit. The fact we are playing hockey in Florida in June is silly
Jim

Unless I am wrong, Watson sat out last year because of a Texans decision, not the NFL, correct? So that should have no bearing on his suspension this year.
Zeise
1:28
He chose to sit out, he could have forced their hand. They all agreed he would sit out. It is the equivalent like a cheating basketball program like Syracuse "taking itself out of the NCAA Tournament" as punishment so that it softens the blow of the actual punishment. His side will argue they sat out last year and that is enough

Good luck to everyone attending any sporting event or whatever in this town anymore by bus! PAT changed their name, downsized a bit & rerouted some stops. With the price of gas nowadays still going up, more people will be riding the bus. Good timing on their part. (Sarcasm)
Zeise

I think there are still all the subway routes and trolleys and people will still figure out how to get there
Jim
1:28
I think the Steelers will be better this year than last and will compete for the division and a playoff spot, am I being too optimistic?
Zeise
1:29
No, I think they can compete for a playoff spot but they will need Trubisky to be competent, the offensive line to play well and the defense to stop the run
TomB
1:29
Do you think Rudolph’s development/improvement was stifled by Ben’s presence? Thanks!
Zeise
1:30
I would say yes, that was a part of it. He was never really ever able to fully blossom in his formative years

The run defense was obvious atrocious. I figured the shame and embarrassment would be enough. You have dpoy in watt but cant stop a nose bleed? Unreal. They need to wake the you know what up!!!!!!!
Zeise
1:31
The thing is they thought Alualu and Tuitt would solve that. One is really old and coming off a major injury, the other retired. What is left are the guys who couldn't stop the run last year so what is going to change?
Ern the worm
1:31
Paul why no urgency to better the dline now that 91 is done? Sorry makes no sense hoping a 5th rd pick lives up to expectations? Steelers used to be great at these things. Now? Hahhahahaha
Zeise
1:31
I agree they had no Plan B at all. And now they will pay for it
Big John
1:31
Paul, are you making the long overdo pilgrimage to St Vincent's Training Camp this year?
Zeise
1:32
Absolutely I enjoy covering the Steelers up there. Of course, that's assuming they don't have arbitrary and idiotic limitations on how many media members are allowed in
Bernard
1:32
My buddy and I have a long running debate about who was the better QB, Dan Fouts or Terry Bradshaw.  Bradshaw has the rings, league and Super Bowl MVPs, etc.  Fouts has the better stats but little post season success.  If Fouts had played for the Steelers, would he have 4 rings or was Terry just special in big games?
Zeise
1:33
If Fouts was on the Steelers in the 1970s the Steelers would have won 6 or 7 rings!!!
James Ryan
1:34
Hey Paul! Thanks for the chats. If you had to predict the next team to win a title in Pittsburgh, who would it be (college or pro)? It feels like this city may see a long drought
Zeise
1:34
I would say the Steelers will but it won't be any time soon. The Pirates will never and the Pens are going to be in a dark period after Crosby and company are done.
1:35
OK that is it for me, thanks for jumping on lets do it again next week
