Ron Cook earlier this week stated that Cam Newton is a better QB option than Brady at this point. I'm struggling to agree with that.  What do you think?
Zeise

It is hard to say because I don’t know how anyone could know the health status of either. Brady was banged up last year and was never really the same player. Newton was injured. If both are fully healthy, I might agree with Cook. Brady’s physical tools have diminished

Why hasn’t Claypool signed his Rookie Deal yet ??
Zeise
12:43
A lot of rookies haven’t. It doesn’t matter until training camp starts and he will sign by then. The way rookie contracts are slotted there isn’t much negotiating to do.

Does it strike you as kind of sad that Belicheck thought that he needed illegal video help to beat the Bengals last year? It seems like as the years go by, his image gets more and more tarnished.

He is a guy who is always looking for an edge. It doesn’t matter who they are playing he is gonna find an edge so no, it doesn’t shock me

In reference to my previous question, I guess I haven’t been paying attention.  I wasn’t aware that the Steelers had already anointed Rudolph as Ben ‘s successor.

I was being sarcastic - they refused to sign a backup QB and have consistently said he is their guy and they believe in him. I happen to think they will try and draft one next year

I don't see how the Steelers will be able to gauge Rudolph's long-term potential since he probably will be sitting behind Ben the next two seasons, providing this seasoneven  happens. Will they sign him again, or just go the 21 or 22 draft route?
Zeise
12:58
Well as I said before, they will definitely bring in some competition for him and most likely via the draft

Have a great 4th and stay safe!
