He will average a point a game for the 44 games a year he is actually healthy enough to play
Defensewinschamps
12:42
What is GMRH up to? We going to deploy 3 defense/2 forwards?
Zeise
12:42
No there will be some trades
Mercury
12:42
I’m starting to think Cruz might actually become a really good shortstop? That arm is amazing.  Has your opinion changed at all?
Zeise
12:43
I have to see a lot more but so far so good
Amanda
12:43
When are they going to fire you from the Nightly Sports Call? You haven't apologized to me or the viewers for laughing and mocking me about promoting a serious addiction drinking. At least I never have to see you and Walls on at the same time as it seems the management fixed that. Shame Shame Shame!!
Zeise
12:45
My friend Donny Football wants to know if you enjoyed that case of IC Light Mango he sent you. I told him you probably drank the entire case during the Pirates game

O'Neil Cruz---the real deal?
Zeise
12:46
I don’t know yet but boy he has some really good tools to work with
Big John

Hi Paul. Do you know how much LeVeon Bell is getting paid to fight ... er, I mean get clubbed in the head a lot by Adrian Peterson in their boxing match?
Zeise
12:47
I cannot imagine much but who wants to watch that
Hal
12:47
Jack Suwinski is now in an 0 for 26 slump. Hayes is struggling to hit above .250 and been a major disappointment so far at the plate. O'Neil Cruz is barely hitting over .200. Lots of guys hitting under .200. I complain about Oscar Marin a lot but this Andy Haines as the hitting coach seems terrible. Should the Pirates get rid of him and Marin after the season Paul?
Zeise
12:48
I would say if it doesn’t improve they need to get better hitting and pitching coaches. There are too many young players on this team that need developed
TP Hunter
12:50
Why on earth does Shelton keep playing VanMeter and Tsutsugo? THEY STINK!
Zeise
12:54
VanMeter is the sacrificial lamb and poor sap that gets thrown out there to get hammered when they need a position player pitcher!!! Yoshi they are hoping hits a few home runs and then they can trade him
Bud Fox
12:54
What's going on with David Bednar lately? He has really been struggling. Is it overuse? Shelty loves to yank the starters so quickly it seems the whole bullpen is taxed. Thoughts?
Zeise
12:55
he is used a lot and therefore he may have a little fatigue and also teams have seen him a lot more now than two months ago. Scouting a pitcher is a big part of beating a pitcher
Kasperi
12:56
Hei Paul. Do you think I will get traded soon?         I also put a hold on my next Get-Go commercial.
Zeise
12:57
If I were GMRH you would not be on the roster when the season begins
Mercury
12:57
I say trade Bednar now before he loses any more luster. Do you agree?
Zeise
12:57
Been saying it for a few weeks. A closer is a luxury item to a bad team
I miss Willie
12:58
Earlier this season, you wrote you didn't see any signs of real progress in the Pirates' plans. Any change in that opinion now that we finally get to see some of the young guys? I feel better than I did in mid-May.
Zeise
12:58
I think there is actually a small core of young guys that I’m starting to see it with. But they need a lot more help!
Big John
12:59
Game starting soon. Who is Sheltie gonna rest today? My late Mom used to say about Murtaugh & Tanner doing that, "you rest when you die."
Zeise
12:59
The game started and I actually didn’t see the lineup. This rest stuff is so ridiculous

Will there be a little less yinzer love for the Rooneys as a result of the stadium name change?
Zeise
1:01
No. Heck no. The Rooney’s are and always will be beloved.

Hi Paul.  Looks like the Pens brass may have found their big D-man in Rutta?  If so, do you think this just means Ruhwedel goes back to the #7 or 8   d?  Or does is mean Marino or Dumoulin might be on the move?  Thanks!
Zeise
1:08
I’m gonna guess it means Dumoulin is on the move. It makes the most sense to me given his salary and what appears to be a decline in play. I think he would bring the most in return too

Hi Paul: If a ghost runner scores from second base does it impact the pitcher's ERA since he didn't allow the runner to reach base?
Mercury
1:09
How much of a market do you think there is for the likes of Tsutsugo, VanMeter and Gamel?
Zeise
1:09
None for the first two maybe a little for Gamel. But if Yoshi shows a little power who knows
Ryan
1:10
Good afternoon Paul what pirates get traded at the deadline I’m thinking Quintana and gamel and Newman
Zeise
1:10
If the price is right maybe Bednar too. They would be foolish not to try and trade him
Najeh Davenport
1:12
If you ignore the 100 mph throws to first base and the plus 100mph line drives Cruz is hitting.. are we sure it’s gonna translate to him being a good BASEBALL player and all around HITTER?  Seems like these mlb pitchers are all giving him a ton of off speed and he can’t really adjust. I know BA isn’t a good stat anymore (for whatever reason) but .215 is terrible.
Zeise
1:13
That’s what people need to be careful about. As I said, he has some incredible tools to work with but he needs to develop into a baseball player and that takes time and isn’t easy. Until then he sure is fun to watch when he does hit the ball or make a throw
Bud Fox
1:16
Better tv show Mash or Charles in Charge?
Zeise
1:18
This isn’t a serious question. One is a classic and one of the all time great TV shows. The other is a cheesy sitcom with an annoying opening song that was rarely funny, clever or interesting…

Do you think the Steelers are going to work on getting better backups to Najee than Snell and McFarland?
Zeise
1:21
It doesn’t appear like they are motivated to do so. They may pick up one late in training camp off the wire but I doubt it. They seem to like Snell and McFarland
