Paul, Let’s say Robinson turns out to be a really good ILB for the Steelers. Knowing his situation, realistically how much developmental time will he need to become that player?

I think he is the kind of player who, if they work him in a little at a time he will be able to be a very solid and key contributor down the stretch.

It's way too soon to decide the Pirates' rebuild is a bust but not too soon to wonder about it. Could it be that the strategy of trading veterans for prospects might not work for the Pirates because the major leaguers they had to trade weren't good enough to bring back really talented prospects? Do you recall any of them coming with "can't miss" labels?

But we were told these were all great prospects. And it comes down to the development of these guys which has not been good. I look at ONeil Cruz - has he gotten better?

I think they would not beat Ohio State. Beyond that they could beat anyone. So I think they could finish as high as second in either division

Any reason Jack Suwinsky is still down in the minors? Pirates could use his power and while his batting average was hovering around .200 that seems to be the norm on this team. He should be with the big club while Van Meter needs to move on to a different line of work.

What I have noticed about Bush is that he is trying to avoid contact when he should be seeking out people to hit. I saw him turn his back to the line 1 time while the RB scampered by him. Bush not only needs to not be starting, he should be cut. Steelers need to man up admit their mistake and move on. Agree?

If he doesn’t get it done this year they will man up ajd admit it was a mistake. But they will give him every opportunity to prove he wasn’t a mistake this year

Hi Paul.  With the hamstring injury to the Cryboys left tackle, presumably out for the season, do you think that puts more pressure on the Steelers to sign a free agent lineman like Fisher from KC before Dallas signs him or another free agent lineman?  Thanks.

Paul, is it me or are the Steelers reluctant to throw screen passes?  Maybe it’s not part of Canada’s offense?   Given the pressure on our quarterbacks this preseason, I would think they would use it at least 2 or 3 times per game.  Thanks Paul.

They have never been a big screen team. It is just their philosophy and maybe the Matt Canada offense doesn’t utilize them. I don’t remember many screens when he was running Pitt’s offense

Any chance the Steelers bring in a free agent for left tackle or trade for one as I see Moore getting all of our QBs hurt this year with his turnstile of letting the DE take a free run at the QBs? Either that or they will need to keep an extra TE in on that side to slow down the rush.

I think they tried to build their line. They just evaluated players poorly. They haven’t invested first rounders but they have signed and drafted a lot of linemen. But it looks like they are just bad at evaluation

Hello, I find it difficult to understand why the Steelers resigned Okafor 3 years for $29,250,000 contract and Mason Cole to a 3 year $15,750,000 contract and they are not even close to being rated in the top half of NFL lineman?  Granted not all of this money is guaranteed but why not combine those amounts and sign a "top tier" lineman and then figure out the other position through draft or free agency? The offensive line will be the demise of this team.
