Pauly, you watch these Fed Ex things or do you think they are just an unnecessary money grab for the lucky few like yours truly?  As you know, I do have debts, both pulic and private....
Zeise
1:03
I enjoy all golf on TV
Randy F.
1:03
Did anyone else notice that this offense looks disturbingly similar to way back when a certain MT buddy was running the show? Just saying.....
Zeise
1:04
Again it is very difficult to know what the offense is as they are keeping it vanilla in the preseason

As a follow up to the NBA in Pittsburgh question, I just read that Pittsburgh is 67th in population in the U.S.  In summary, be happy we have 3 of the 4 major sports franchises here.
Zeise
1:05
Yes and the amount of corporate money needed to support four franchises just isn’t here

Hi Paul, thanks for the chats.  Does Rashard Coward make the team?
Zeise
1:06
I think so as depth at guard. He has some experience and has proven he can play in the NFL

At least you aren’t getting backup QB questions…not sure how anyone could take the Big Ten/ACC/Pac 12 alliance as really thinking it is going to make a difference to what happens in future with conferences.  Seems to me out of those three commissioners at least one of them (and possibly two)  will not have a conference to preside over in future.
Zeise
1:07
Well that’s probably not true - the Big 12 is in trouble and not part of the alliance. And how much of an alliance is it when there is no contract or formal agreement?

My husband heard you mentioned me to Walls the other day on your pathetic sports show. You were not supposed to be paired with him so I will have to make another complaint.
Zeise

Walsh. Rich Walsh. Get it right. Stop drinking and get it right!
Sam Ryder

You got tickets at Whistling Straits?  If you get a chance to play it, you should pass until your game has matured to some degree.....Just saying....
Zeise
1:09
I will play any nice course even if I shoot 160!!

Living near DC, I can tell you that Haskins is not better than Rudolph, yet.  I would treat him as a three-year project, and re-evaluate then.   I do not understand why so many folks think he is the answer.  He has no NFL pedigree for such a thought, even though he obviously has NFL skills.
Zeise
1:10
I agree, I think they should let Haskins be the third guy this season and just let him learn and mature

I am sick of seeing Poni continuously attack Mason Rudolph for no good reason. All of a sudden that's all he does on twitter and elsewhere. The thing is Mason hasn't played badly at all this preseason. I don't get why Poni is doing this.
Zeise
1:14
Because he gets under the skin of people like you. It is his schtick. He is a ball buster and he has planted his flag in the center of “mediocre Mason” hill and he is never going to back off. It is schtick nothing more nothing less
Jock Sutherland
1:14
Was wrong. You did have a backup QB question earlier!
Zeise
1:14
Of course we did. We always will!
Vince
1:14
Are you an anti vaxxer dude because your twitter is crazy cray cray?
Zeise
1:16
Anybody who uses the phrase “anti vaxxer” to describe people who are hesitant to get the COVID vaccine is a clown that cannot be taken seriously because they clearly aren’t intelligent enough to have an adult discussion. Grow up

Are there any third base men in the Pirates system capable of hitting 2 hrs a month?
Zeise
1:17
The one thing that seems to be clear is this - there isn’t a ton of power options down in the minor league system. That is something that needs addressed

Also whatever happened to Bruce Keidan? He took over for Myron's talk show and wrote a column for the PG. Did you know him?
Zeise
1:21
He was brilliant as a writer, brilliant as a journalist and one of the smartest people I’ve worked with. I enjoyed conversations with him because he always challenged you to think deeper and outside the box. He retired, maybe like 2000 or so, moved to Florida and he died about a decade ago.

Played a tournament last weekend and raised with AA, got 6 callers snd flop was 456. Needless to say I checked and watched 2 people bet, raise and shove on each other. Do Aces ever win Paul?
Zeise
1:23
They win often. I would be willing to say if you got six callers you didn’t raise enough

Is this the last year we get to see Terrell Edmonds in a Steelers uniform? Because he has really been a complete bust.
Zeise
1:27
I think so. I don’t think he is a bust he just hasn’t lived up to the first round draft choice. But he hasn’t been a complete bust. He is a functional NFL safety
Mercury
1:27
I’m trying to remember, did Haden  immediately start the first game after they picked him up?
Zeise
1:27
Yes I am pretty sure he did

There is a column today about the best match ups for Pitt and Penn State if this alliance happens. Are there schools you'd most like to see each of them play?
Zeise
1:29
Each other! Beyond that I have always loved Penn State-USC games and Pitt should play Oregon State - we can call it the Insight Bowl, the Sun Bowl or the Scott Barnes invitational!
David
1:29
How come when you write a column and people comment you don't reply back. You used to. You should reply since we spend the time reading your column and commenting.
Zeise
1:29
You are right. I need to get more involved in those discussions

If that Big Ten/ACC/Pac12 alliance happens will the Big Ten need to go back to eight conference games to fit the two "alliance" games in?
Zeise
1:30
I doubt it. I think way too much is being made of this alliance thing
