Why does Pitt constantly start so slow? If Milton was the least bit accurate last Saturday we would have been down 24-0. Pickett is great but I honestly don't see this team as some much improved elite squad. Secondary is shaky, special teams is bad and coaching leaves a lot to be desired. What do you think?

Hello Paul.  Just want to give credit to the Pirates for the way they observed Roberto Clemente Day.  It’s hard to believe that the “Great One” has been gone almost 50 years. The world would be a better place if all us cared about others like he did.

Do you think the almost total absence of anything you can call a crowd at Pirate games will motivate Bob Nutting to bring in some moderate cost free agents to give fans a watchable product next year? Does he need to or do teams actually make enough from revenue sharing and TV to be profitable playing to near empty stadiums now?

Pickett is older than both qbs in the Patriots v Jets game. You should expect to be good with a 6th year player at the most important position. Is this Pitts only year to make a move, or do we have enough to keep a run going?

Is there really much credence that you can place on a player's performance at the end of a season playing meaningless games? It seems like the Pirates play better at the end of another losing season filling people with misguided  hope and optimism for the next year.

If they don’t do it this offseason I wonder if he will be another guy who gets traded away before he hits free agency. That would be a mistake, he is a really good baseball player
