Any idea how Polanco is doing in the minors?
Zeise
1:02
He has 4 HRs in 11 games and is slashing .279/.326/.628

Top 5 favorite public golf courses in the area?
Zeise
1:02
Cedarbrook, of course
1:03
followed by Arnold Palmer Course at Oglebay, Seven Springs, Olde Stonewall, Champion Lakes and Manor Valley

Paul, first off, Rico was the blocking dummy for his HS football team. Second, Najee Harris. His numbers were pedestrian, but it seemed like the pile moved forward no matter where he was hit and by how many. I don't think anyone else would have gotten 25, let alone 45 yards.
Zeise
1:03
Yeah it is hard to blame Harris, he didn’t have much help at all

Maybe next year the Pirates should do something special ticket-wise on Clemente night so more than a few thousand make it to the stadium. Maybe a $3.21 ticket price for the cheap seats? The Great One deserves to have the house full when he is honored, correct?

I have a better idea - put together a team that actually wins and makes people want to come to the park without some promotion or gimmick

I’ll go with a short run by Najee Harris

In your opinion, what Pittsburgh athlete had the quickest  fizzle out from star to has been?
Zeise

Le’Veon Bell?

Paul, I wish I shared your enthusiasm about the Panthers football unit, but what I saw Saturday was an average team with a very good quarterback. They aren't dominating on either side, the RBs are smallish, and the DBs aren't physical and got beat in coverage big in the first half. Pickett may be good enough to get them to your predicted destination, but it will be difficult.

Time will tell but again remember what I said - their greatest asset is that their schedule is weak

Melvin Ingrahm looks like a steal pick up this offseason no? Dupree and Hilton looked pretty bad too last Sunday but it's only week 1.
Zeise
1:08
Yeah I think we should cool the jets on making declarations about players after week 1 — that being said I really like Ingram as the third outside linebacker

Is Artie Burns still in the league?
Zeise
1:09
He plays for the Bears. He played some special teams the other day against the Rams

Who is your favorite of the 13 new Pirates analysts?
Zeise
1:10
You know Kevin Young is impressive and does a great job on the air
Hank
1:10
If Pickett continues to play like this the rest of the season is he a first or second round draft pick next April? I think he might be.
Zeise
1:11
No but I think he moves himself from the 6th - 7th round to the 4th maybe 3rd round

Was Scott Barnes one of the worst Pitt AD's ever? The whole Stallings shady hiring with Turner and the search firm and him bolting soon after made his legacy here imo downright awful. What do you think?
Zeise
1:14
He is a great guy. And I believe he is a very good AD if you look at his resume. But he was a disaster here. He shouldn’t have been hired . He was a west coast guy with no investment here and it was clear he was already on his way out the door when he arrived. His lasting legacy will be destroying the men’s basketball program, which is ironic given that he billed himself as a “basketball guy”

Twins or Beverly Hills Cop?
Zeise
1:15
Not even close - Beverly Hills Cop I and II are classics. The third one is a tire fire

Thoughts on Matt Canada's first game calling plays?
Zeise
1:16
As I said - I’m not a huge fan of sideways passes and passes short of the sticks

I'm sorry but Hayes has turned into a glorified singles hitter. No power for months. That's concerning to me. Another 0fer yesterday.
Zeise
1:16
I agree but I think they are working on his swing and will build on it as he becomes more consistent. He is a young player give him time

I loved how Killebrew just casually put both hands down to block that punt, no diving or flailing. He looked so poised doing that it was so cool to see.
Zeise
1:17
He is a veteran player, this wasn’t his first rodeo. He looks like a real find
TP Hunter

Quickest pro flameout has to be the Big Nogowski, right? Or, maybe Duck?
Zeise
1:18
Oh I forgot about Nogowski! From legend to DFA in like two weeks
TP Hunter
1:18
Better odds of making the playoffs: Steelers or Ravens?
Zeise
1:18
The Ravens are all beat up now. I think you definitely have to go with the Steelers.

Has Keller started to see the light? Looking not half bad the past few starts. Don't want to get my hopes uo though.
Zeise
1:19
I have to see a lot more than what I have seen but I do agree he has been better lately. It is something to build on
