Offenses are dominating in the NFL this year, what do you think is the cause of this early trend?
Zeise
3:07
Simple - the lack of holding calls probably helps and the defenses haven’t tackled well because they haven’t been hitting enough in the preseason
Amanda

Your shameless promotion of drinking with Rick Walls is just like you never criticizing Pat Narduzzi and Pitt. My husband thinks you are a shill for him.
Zeise

I refuse to believe any male would be glutton for punishment enough to deal with you so stop lying about being married. He probably left you when you started whining about him drinking beer!!!
Paull

When will Edmounds make his next splash play? Just seems so vanilla
Zeise
3:11
He is a victim of expectations. If he was a fourth round pick people would say “he is a solid NFL player” He was a first round pick so people say he is an underachiever. I don’t think he is anything more than a solid NFL player who isn’t gonna make game changing plays

hey paul, again whipple makes pinkett come to the sideline for plays, een though he's limping badly,,,,,,,,,,,,don't you see the harm this does? i've said this for 2  years now,,,,,,,  he is a terrible offensive coach, he needs to go !!!!
Zeise
3:12
Yeah I have no idea why he has to run to the sidelines every time but he does and it makes no sense to me. As for Whipple, I’ve been underwhelmed to say the least

Seeing how cohesive and selfless the wide receiver room has been this year, I don't see how the drama of bringing Bell back would be anything but toxic. Is his skill set even still there, or was his meager production more due to a poor surrounding cast?
L. Bell
3:12
Paul, do you think my downward spiraling NFL career will negatively impact my blossoming rap career?
Zeise
3:13
Lev Bell was not toxic and is not a bad teammate. He isn’t Antonio Brown. He needs to find the right spot but it won’t be here because the Steelers don’t need him. As for his rap career, well let’s just say he shouldn’t quit his day job!

I thought your column on Pitt this week was an accurate depiction of the program. One area though I disagree with is changing offensive coordinator. With Pickett out of eligibility, replacing Whipple at the end of the year makes sense. Narduzzi needs a coordinator that is more imaginative than Whipple.
Zeise
3:15
Oh I think that should absolutely be on the table. A change in philosophy and play design and scheme would do wonders for the offense

Paul, if you had to vote, who would win the award for absolutely botching a potential HOF career, me or my bud LB? There’s money riding on your answer. Thanks man.
Zeise

You have done enough to get in the Hall of Fame, he hasn’t. So I will say him

How excited are you that the Pirates have the number one pick in the 2021 draft?
Zeise
3:16
World Series, baby!!!

I know it was a long time ago but Larry Brown started as a TE and moved to tackle and had a very long career. Could Vance make the move? Loves to block.
Zeise
3:17
He might be able to but I’m not sure the Steelers would need him to

What is a good cure for hiccups?

Holding your breath for long stretches is the only thing I’ve found to work

There's an old country song...."He Ain't Much But He's Mine." Feeling that way about Pat Narduzzi. Just don't know we can do better?
Zeise
3:19
It isn’t about doing better as there are lots of great coaches out there. They could do better. They could also do worse. And again no matter what they would be starting over

Paul, what was I thinking when I made that joke of a tackling effort the other day? I fear I lost some yinzer support with that one.
Zeise
3:20
Not sure but let me say this - you need to start making some plays my man!

I have a survivor contest going and need some insight. If a person selects the Patriots and their game is pushed to their scheduled bye week in November, what should g

If I were running it I whirl make you take a second choice team  - like a provisional shot in golf just in case!

Hey Paul. So browns or Steelers? Who you got and score please

Does Steeler G.M Paul Zeise sign his former draft pick running back out of Michigan State?
Zeise
3:23
No, the Steelers don’t need him
Chipper

So -- what now.  What does Pitt have to play for. Is Narduzzi safe after this year with 2 disappointments in a row?  They just keep adding up.
Zeise
3:25
Well technically if they ran the table they could still get into the ACC title game, right? So they are still playing for the ACC title until they are eliminated!!

Does coach Narduzzi need a dose of humility?  His comments about being disrespected in the rankings, slights at Matt Canada and now being inches away in a game of inches seem childish and irrelevant.
Zeise
3:25
I don’t know about all that stuff, I just know he needs to start winning winnable games with regularity

Paul, serious question, how many generations of Watts will be able to live in luxury after I sign my next contract?
Zeise

Yeah between you and your two brothers I think your family will be able to pay bills for a while......

No coaching changes for the Pirates?  This mindset reminds me of when Leyland left and we got 19? years of losers, multiple coaches, all were supposed to be "what the team needed".  Watching the rays is more evidence that a) we are an embarrassment and b) small market teams don't need decades to produce a winner.  Anyone who thinks this organization will compete at the level the rays are competing needs to stop the Covid day drinking
