Is playing zone defense in the endzone the only thing dumber than goaline defense that doesn't tell the LB to follow the TE if he releases?  Everyteam does this and it baffles me why players don't know that they must pick up the man who is standing in their "zone"!

Beach when teams had 15 rounds of draft choices or whatever they could take punters and kickers. Now with only 7 rounds it is tougher to justify even though punters and kickers are a huge part of the game

Paul, I've read over the last 2 weeks how Pitt always loses games they should win. I think we need to give the kids a pass this year because of the virus. Emotion in football is very important and I watched the Panthers jog out of the tunnel for the NC State game and I knew they were in trouble. How do you get up for a game when there's nobody to cheer you on? Even as a viewer I don't get as emotionally involved without the entire game ambiance.

Another thing, Paul. Narduzzi and his coaches have gotten a lot of criticism for the 2 losses but he didn't drop the 2 point conversion pass that Tasir Mack did against NC State and he didn't miss 2 field goals and an extra point against BC, Kessman did. If those 2 miscues don't happen Pitt could easily be 5-0 or at worst 4-1. Plus, against NC State the Quarterback Leary was en fuego. He couldn't miss all day. I will say though that they better get a running game and real soon !

Was there any outcry about Brady throwing yet another tantrum on the sideline and calling out teammates...followed up by embarrassingly not knowing the down on the last drive of the game?  Seems to me if it was Ben, or another QB who fit a narrative it would have been the national narrative this week.

What do you think of the decision to give Heyward at 31 years old a lucrative extension?  Wouldn't that money have been better spent on Dupree who is more "unique" of an asset than a run stuffing interior lineman?

I don’t think so. I think he will be allowed to go away as a free agent. I can’t see them fitting him under the cap

Yes I do believe that it is. I think given the wilderness the program has been wandering in the fact that this team can finally get back to being competitive and really compete for an NCAA spot should be exciting

Different philosophies but I do think the Steelers need to tighten up their coverage more. But again they ask their corners to do a lot so they try to protect them from getting beat deep
