I think Jarry has played reasonably well this season. It may be DeSmith that gets replaced

Hi Paul, if Bush was to be traded now, in theory, would draft pick would be gotten in return?
Zeise
12:45
A fifth, maybe

I saw Rudolph trying to adjust his velocity Sunday... Some floaters & way to many Bubby-esk bullets... Continued playing/starting should help, no?
Zeise
12:45
Yes as well as being able to grip the ball consistently

The Lions repeatedly used something called a "heavy set" (3 tackles and 2 TEs) against Pgh's D.That means they have 8 guys on or near the line, the QB makes 9 and the RB is 10. That leaves room for 1 WR. The Steelers played subpackages against that and their dbacks played off the line. You gotta be kidding me. It took them almost 2 full quarters to figure it out. Was there no-one in the sky booth to tell the field coaches what was happening? Lot of reasons the Steelers didn't win. Poor coaching was #1.
Zeise
12:46
Mike Tomlin actually addressed this and said he was outcoached in that regard and that the Lions ran at them a different way than he expected

Paul who is going to be held responsible for yet another 1st round miss and bust? Artie Burns, Edmunds and now Devin Bush. Where is the accountability?
Zeise
12:47
Well again, the guy doing the drafting has been around for a long time and has a lot of good picks on his resume as well. You can’t hit on every player
Dean

Hi Paul.........a few questions for the Steelers.........what is with the running back Macfarland and Offensive Tackle Zach Banner?  I think Macfarland is to small........what do you think?
Zeise
12:48
McFarland is a backup change of pace guy at beat. Banner must not be fully healthy because if he is and can’t get on the field right now I don’t know when he will

Paul, I in now way think Rudolph is equivalent to Neil O'Donnell like I read in one chat this week. That is laughable.  What do you think?  Watch YouTube games from the 90s to get a clue.
Zeise
12:48
You think Rudolph is the equivalent of O’Donnell? Actually I could see that
Ryan
12:48
Good afternoon Paul pens need this win tonight i think Crosby scores first goal tonight and Najee first touchdown on Sunday
Zeise
12:49
I always go with Najee first TD and picking a Crosby goal is never too far out on a limb!

I warned about Bush & now I warn about resigning Fitzpatrick... Problem... well... one of the problems is... both starting safeties suck.
Zeise
12:50
I agree, I would not give Fitzpatrick big money

Speaking of teflon... Danny 'gumballs' Smith... sigh.
Zeise
12:51
Ha ha. I have no idea how he has kept his job all these years

I love you on the sports show on the weekends. Who are some of your favorites that call in because sometimes it's hard to watch. The callers can't even put coherent sentences together.
Zeise
12:51
Yeah the callers are kind of tough. I can tell you who my least favorite is - Amanda!

Just saw a schedule of sports teams head coaches.......football, baseball, basketball.  Mike Tomlin is tied at #5 with a salary of $11.5 million.  Not bad for a coach who hasn't won a playoff game in what, 9 years? Your thoughts?
Zeise
12:52
He has won three playoff games in ten years, sir!

8-8-1... another 'Never a Losing Season' trophy for Teflon or does the tie negate the prestigious award... this time?
Zeise
12:52
That is indeed a non-losing season

Ever notice a trend in the NFL where a team which has tied the previous week loses the next week?
Zeise
12:52
No, is there one?

Does the "Fenway" in the Fenway Group refer to Boston and if so isn't  that a conflict of interest?
Zeise
12:53
Yes it does and no it isn’t. They aren’t buying the Pirates they are buying the Penguins

" I think some of their talent has been overrated" Bush, Fitzpatrick, Edmunds (both), McCloud, Harvin...
Zeise
12:53
Yes, that’s a good list to start with

Hi Paul, just left the Pitt chat and when I brought up ESPN is saying Armstrong plays for Virginia, I was told nobody knows and it will be a game time decision.  Yet right on their website in the Stanford Steve/Bear college football picks it says for Pitt-Virginia "Armstrong is back, and that's all I need to hear. I'll take the points with the road team."  What gives? They liars or inside information?
Zeise
12:54
If he is back the UVA has done a really poor job of hiding it

12:54
Paul, I don't think that this Fenway group would resign Letang and Malkin without talking to current management, including Burke and the GM.  Your thoughts.
Zeise
12:54
I agree but the current management is for keeping them as well
Jim
12:54
When does management pull the plug on Jarry and bring in a veteran?
